How can my days off be worse than working
Sep. 2nd, 2021 09:39 pmFirst it was online class agita (hopefully fixed as the first test goes live tomorrow)
Got a late start going to town to do laundry (strained my knee in the process) but that went okay. Went to the Y and couldn't quite figure out the bike had to get help (he didn't know either but we figured it out). Even after the workers made these two other women wear masks they took them off immediately (and gave me filthy looks in the restroom because I asked to get by them (they took up the entire passage) or because I had on a mask or both). I did ride the bike for 20 minutes. I didn't go upstairs for the leg press because it's been almost 3 weeks (yikes) since I've worked out. I will not be able to use the rower. It's too low to the ground. I'll never get up from that without help. well hell.
I also went to the library sale (Bad Dana) and that's when I realized I was too distracted at lunch and they gave me change for a five and not the ten I gave them. Idiot. I always look at change but this time i didn't and it cost me five dollars.
On the way home an 18 wheeler past me and chipped my newly repaired windshield. It's tiny but it's there. ARGH
Got home and used my tomatoes. DId I mention two coworkers brought in tomatoes and I took heaps. I made a tomato salad getting all fancy with pear infused balsemic and Calabrian chile peppers. Well the balsemic wasn't as good as hoped but that's okay. No the problem is my cheap ass fridge's door shelves crack if you put too much on the shelves so the Calabrian chilies were loosely on the shelf and even though they were sealed, they leaked chili oil on all four shelves and dripped out onto the floor. Whee.
I'm going to go hide, especially after buying a cozy mystery for a challenge read a book with an animal in the title, totally forgetting I'm reading The Angel of the Crows. A crow is an animal Dana. oh well it supports the library and I DID score the audio book of Neil Gaiman's Trigger Warning.

Date: 2021-09-03 03:28 pm (UTC)Yay for library books! (Boo for wrong change. Can you still mention it to them at this point?)
Arrgh, 18 wheelers! I hate sharing the road with them because they are so inconsiderate. I'm sorry your new windshield is chipped again.
I hate when things spill in the fridge and get all over. Sorry you have to deal with cleaning that up.
I hope you enjoyed your book!
