How's it going? Well since I'm up at an unreasonable hour with knee pain I figured I'd get this up now and try to go to bed.


ETA - For day 8 I was all over the map. I edited a story and posted it (it was for the fandomgiftbox which went a little sideways. Wrote 637 words on Bound by Fear + 602 words on another of the gift box stories I still need to post plus 463 words on something original

And somehow it is 4:30 in the morning and I haven't slept yet. I need to log into work in 2.5 hours. Oops?

Sorry your knee is still bothering you. It's awful when pain keeps you awake.

I did manage to get some fic words down last night. Not many, but enough to start the story.

Day 8: And today I also managed to get a few words down. Again, not many, but enough to finish the first handwritten draft. (This one's a shortie.) I just need to type it in (and make sure it's at least 500 words) and edit it to fill in some blanks I had to leave while writing it.

Another tiring day gardening, but I had to get as much done as I could before the rains start tomorrow. Got up early and wrote first.

Sept 8th - 500 words, 5 Doctor Who drabbles.

Great. The garden sounds like it's fantastic.

A fantastic mess maybe; it's is a wilderness of ivy, brambles, overgrown shrubs, and a lawn that is more weed and moss than grass, but there's lots of wildlife. I've been clearing stuff so that the tree surgeon will be able to get at the gigantic conifer I want removing.

Second full day of classes, and despite getting a little more sleep last night, I am wiped out. Still, managed to add 188 words to the short story, introducing the tragic (maybe) love interest.

Perfect quote again - this is just what I'm currently doing with my Drawer WIP. Today I added 900 words in this way. Also wrote a detailed letter about my fantasy novel project to a writing buddy, with nearly 3k words - quite the writing-related output today.
I hear you on the pain - last night was the first one in several days where I could lie down without shards of glass piercing me with every breath - pain just sucks so majorly, and particularly when preventing you from sleep. Of course, there's no comparing my silly stiff muscles with your poor knee! I hope your knee is giving you more rest soon.

Honestly back pain is worse than this knee pain in my experience. That said the knee collapsed on me for the first time in a long time so now I'm sad.

Days 7-8 were about trying to get this new assignment started, which it's resisting, which either means I'm trying to tell the story wrong or I need to get through it and to the story I want and possibly go back and cut something out.
