But before that let me say Mom has too much Christmas Crap. We worked all day and haven't even cleared on room. Sobs. And now it looks so empty.

I woke up MAD at mom. I dreamt she bought me (from Costco or QVC, dream me couldn't decide) a half dozen of those horrible puffy jackets that would make me looklike the michelin man, one in every color. She was so proud of them (in RL she hates them too) and wouldn't let me take them back. I could have one for every day. I also dreamed of our house and both grandma's home (one of which I was pulling little action figures out of the floor vent) I hope this isn't an omen. I always dream of my maternal grandma's house. Rarely of my parents (and usually of the outside) and never of my paternal grandma's til now

In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

My goals rarely change. Maybe that's a problem. Maybe I'm just happy with the ones I have.

Writing goals - write a little less fan fic this year. I have successfully scaled back on my exchanges but still over 360K in fanfic last year? Yikes. And am I eyeballing febuwhump? Yep. Stop it Dana.

Write more original fiction. That's a no brainer. I'm still hoping to find alpha and beta readers.

FINISH MY SHIT. I suck at this goal

Edit the things I have done and try to publish them. There is no reason I haven't sent in These Haunted Hills to my publisher. Okay yes I was injured for a good chunk of the year but still. The same goes for Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron. I know how to fix one part of it. He's still barely Irish in sound but I tried.

Personal Goals - Keep up at the gym. I can't let this knee weaken. Speaking of which I inched along the floor today with this knee and got under the table to dismantle the Christmas village. A month ago that would have been unthinkable.

I'd like to try Noom

Make a schedule for cleaning house

Get serious about buying a house

Get back on my plan for using up ALL the pantry items because it's out of hand.

Don't work through my vacation

Quit doomscrolling and opening political articles constantly. Just leave it for your own sanity.

And for the 10th day of Christmas at 12_daysofficmas I give you this:

Wow - well done on the fanfic and original writing - that's a lot of words!

As someone with knee issues too you have both my sympathies and best wishes for 2022.

I'm amused by how many of us are plotting to clean home regularly/stop doom scrolling/use up things. This is my tribe!

My goals rarely change

My goals are the same as last year, too! Mainly because I didn't meet all of them, but the ones I did meet I want to do again! *g*

Good luck with yours! Especially keeping your knee strong and stable.
