Mom and I made the last shopping run. I'm so shocked it's already time to go back to work. I was wrong we started after MLK day last year too BUT got off at the usual time, shorting us a week. I had forgotten that. Now that has been fixed. Still eye rolling. And today I fixed all my classes and suddenly saw NO ONE had been put in the afternoon micro except one person. I had to send out an emergency email to find out WTF is going on because that one person needs to come in the morning then. ARGH

Got my hair cut. Got dye for tomorrow. I laughed hard. There was a line of semi permanent color but it also had Poser Paste (1 wash, don't even go out in the rain) and I'm Bored (washes out in 2-6 washes) If that isn't the best description of why I color my hair

In your own space, make a list of things that you wish existed in fandom or elsewhere, and/or that you'd like someone to create or do for you.

Honestly I wish more than anything in fandom is for everyone to possess the ability to scroll past characters and ships you don't like without commentary. How hard is that? What do we get out of dropping into someone's art/story to character or ship bash? There are plenty of ships and characters I don't like so I just scroll on past. Be kind.

I would love to see more Prodigal Son stories. I would love to see more speculation on life for young Malcolm (with the Arroyos, with his family, in the FBI), I'm a sucker for Malcolm+/Vijay stories, Ditto Malcolm +/ Dani (or JT or Edrisa or go poly). Papa!Gil stories are just amazing to me. Case fic is my fav. I'd love to see some Malcolm vids to Citizen Soldier songs as they fit his mental state.

I would love to see all the readers out there take the time to hit that kudo button or better yet leave a comment. I hear all the time 'I don't know what to say' How about something as simple as I liked this or why you liked it. It truly does matter. It gets disheartening to not see any kudos or comments. Heck in the last 6 months my own have tapered way off (of course my main fandom was canceled. What I really want fandom wise you can't give me, for Netflix or someone to pick up Prodigal Son) but then I'll find someone who'll tweet at me how much they loved it. I'm like fantastic thanks (thinking why did you not hit the kudos? Maybe they did as a guest).

In your own space, talk about an idea you wish you had the time / talent / energy to do.


I just want more time to write everything I want to FINISH crap. I haven't finished editing a novel from 2 years ago. I haven't finished making changes to a novel from 10 years ago. I want to finish writing my nano novel from this year (not to mention from the last several years). I have two big Prodigal Son stories I want to finish.

I want to work on my jewelry again. I have SO MUCH laying around. Stone beads, glass beads, bone beads, an entire three drawer tool box that is about 4 feet high and 2 feet long filled. I have done squat all with it for a couple of years. Hasn't stopped me from buying more.

I want to read all the books I have lying around. At this point I need to retire now and live to 100.

I'm trying to figure out how to encourage people to comment. I really like that floaty review box ap because it has suggestions for what to say, and you can comment as you read, but i don't think it works on mobile :( which is where a lot of people read. I suggested a comment bingo game, but I don't want to mod it, so...

It's frustrating, especially in smaller fandoms.

I unsurprisingly have not heard of the floaty app thing (I'm not big on apps for some reason) but it is a good idea. Yeah I have no idea how to get people to leave comments (or review actual books where it matters)

Yeah I mean I've been in fandoms since 1982 and online fandom since the late 90s early 00s and it just seems we can't stop ourselves from dropping into a ship to start a flamewar
