cornerofmadnessI found the date for Imbolc 2/2/22 to be important so I tried the jinx removing spell candles I was given for Yule. I can only hope. Sometimes it's merely a change of your own perception.
I am nervous. Many of you know in 2009 I nearly died of carbon monoxide poisoning after an ice storm imprisoned me here and my landlord tried to help with the worst space heater imaginable. I love the winter. I do. However, no one loves ice. Oh yes it looks beautiful but it is deadly. Maybe not as deadly as a summer wild fire but still.
We're expecting ice. a quarter to half inch of ice. If that's all MAYBE my power will stay on. It might be more. They're saying 1-2 inches of ice in Chillicothe. That is unheard of. If that happens we're screwed. The power lines can't handle that. They're only rated to half an inch. They'll snap. God I know it's more money to bury lines but it would be so much safer.
I went shopping. I got more food than anyone needs because that's how I cope. Do not let me slip up and NOT eat this shit ice or no ice. I did look askance at the people buying not but pop. Maybe they had food already.
I ended up volunteering for crap at work. I'm getting tired of this, the same 12 of us doing everything.
I also went to the Y today and the manager spoke to me (I was the only one there) and he said it's not a gym alone and I'm not a customer. I'm a member and if I need anything after this storm to call them. We're not 911 but if we can help we will. It is a Christian group of course but really helping is what being Christian should mean.
I called CVS and their automated system told me I had four things there and then I nearly passed out when it said it would over 2000$. Once I regained my senses I realized they must have filled everything for 3 months. I call them and tell them ONE MONTH only like it says on my file. Btw this is only a third of my monthly meds (It was still 700$). All I ask is let's not get into how broken healthcare is in America. Yeah I agree but I don't have the energy to deal with that right now.
