A sweet day

cornerofmadnessIt started bad with more mouse shit on my desk and that they are tearing up the labs for bedding. whee
But then I found out the students nominated me for Teacher of the Year again. I'm thrilled. Won't know if I won for a while yet but it's an honor to be nominated
So we went on the chocolate walk. A LOT less participation this year but from the sounds of it it was last minute and disorganized because even the vendors were like we weren't sure about this. I went with my friends L, TH and BB. It was nice just to get out and walk some. I walked about five blocks but I did it and it was enjoyable. I learned there is a paint your own pottery place that could be fun and it's just really nice to get into the downtown stories which we often don't get to do. this is the whole point to drive people to the local businesses and help the downtown. I also learned that we have a new place the healing hippie that does massages. Hells yes. I also spoke to a small realtor (who kept texting us the last couple weeks) because hey I DO want to buy a house.
The local soap company had soap made from human breast milk (which explains why they had a message on the window a few months back wanting to buy milk). I didn't get a chance to investigate it because it was crowded.

Also I scored three spots on my Soup-er Bingo which is new, you make a bingo by eating/drinking out at local restaurants/coffee shops/bar

it's a great bingo until today when I tried a new to town restaurant, hotheads, UGH gross.
