Sears called me and canceled out on picking up my washer. Says they'll be here tomorrow. They damn well best be here in the morning because it's the mothman festival and I'm not missing it.

Random - this has been an incredibly long week. It feels like months.

At least my nursing students restored my faith in my teaching ability, with the exception of one or two, they kicked butt on the essays. Will grade the rest today. One of them told the secretary how much she loved my class. Awwww....


Thanks to Evil Little Dog & SouthernBangel for being sounding boards. I know have the plot point for my Wolverine/Rogue charity story and I have some of the knots worked out for Hyperion's Son so it can start moving forward again. No lie guys, I can't stress enough how much just talking to someone in email, YIm, or hey real life if you're so lucky to have writer friends, can get you over a block. I'm always willing to have people bounce ideas off me too.

Hmmm. Maybe I should think seriously about actually using a beta. When I get stuck on plot points, I either risk spoiling my friends who read my fic, or I sit around waiting for inspiration to strike. Which it does, eventually, but that can be a *long* eventually.

Betas really do help. They also help catch things that might otherwise embarrass you. And yes, I have a few that have been waiting YEARS on that inspiration strike so...

I agree that bouncing ideas off friends can be so helpful.

The first villian Batgirl ever fought was mothman, so I'm expecting a Barbara Gordon sighting.
