50th anniversary

I was supposed to be at the Bigfoot festival but Lucky uncle and his wife had their 50th wedding anniversary today (why now instead of last month I don't know) They wanted me to be there as I was in the wedding. I would have liked it better if it wasn't outside in the middle of August sweltering.

Overall it was a nice party if you ignore the heat. We were in this park a few years back for a graduation. Since then they put in ALL this stuff for the kids (none of which we have, not of that age at any rate) and it's a nice space for families.

I hate heat and was pretty sick by the end of the party. It was just family talking but it was the last big thing I had going on here so I made it through and that's good

One cousin brought peaches and vidalia onions up from Georgia, her sister brought a laundry basket of zucchini from her garden. I was gathering up the zucchini I wanted to take to our car by putting it in a pocket made of the edges of my sundress and I hear my dad calling out 'get those zucchini out of your dress. You're not in Italy anymore."


BUT I am far too tired to do a writerly ways so that should come tomorrow.

I am glad you had such a great time with your family even if it was sweltering.

We have a peach tree that is really giving this year, so we have been giving away bags of them here lately as well.

Lovely park and a good time with family loses it's shine in the heat we've been having. I'm glad you managed to enjoy it anyway.
