Who needs eyeballs
Aug. 18th, 2022 09:38 pmApparently not me. Woke up with mine glued shut from me poking at it all night. So I called the eye doc and they saw me in the morning. The contact disappeared somewhere in the night so now I have to wonder did it fall out while sleeping OR did I spend half the night trying to peel my own conjunctiva off my eyeball?
Luckily no corneal damage. It might be infected from all the skin bacteria from my fingers (in spite of washing and using sterile saline) so a week of antibiotic drops and no contacts.
So my eye is red and swollen and tomorrow they want head shots of all of us for the new bad website. yeah no. use my old p ic (and I'm still against this. We've already had one faculty member found by a stalker this way)
Back to knowing when to end your series, Emergency! did NOT. They ended up making a half dozen 2 hour movies as the last season...with ONLY John and Roy. One set was them training in another city, two of them (so four hours) was barely then in San Fran and was far more about should women be in dangerous jobs and two hours was a clip show after John & ROy became captains (the only thing about these movies that made sense to do but 2 hours of clips is never a good idea)
So if you're ending a series, taking only the two protagonists and divesting yourself of ALL your side characters and inventing a host of new ones is a terrible idea. If I think about it, The X-Files did that as well when Duchovny and Anderson wanted out it should have ended. Dogget and Reyes just couldn't hold it together. (and yet I watched it for no known reason)
