How is a short day so long
Aug. 23rd, 2022 10:27 pmI did call Adena today about that bill in collection. She swears it's an 'in house' collection agency and not on my record. Yeah sure. She also says I have NO idea why anyone would have done this since I paid a few months ago and the charges were from Jan/Feb so when I said to pay it all the billing agent shouldn't have put only one charge on my card. I told her that they said it was the new system causing issues so maybe that's why. She replied we haven't put the new system ON yet. (well I knew about it so that proves the other person used it as an excuse not to do her job).
I called to be sure my labs were put in for this week and learned somehow they didn't give me the last appt of the day for endocrinology next week. I don't want to take time off work. Luckily there was one end of day this thursday so now I have to go to get blood drawn thursday morning and hope it's ready by 430 pm. and oh I have a different doc appoint earlier that thursday. Thursday is gonna be tedious af
Even more nonsense happened at work including one prof changing their labs without asking and screwing up everything (there is a reason we do this as a group. omg why)
Mom went for the first day of PT with my brother. it went okay. He and I both still think the rotator cuff is torn and needs repaired but I'm not sure she's going for that.
The dream started in my parent's living room (it is very very rare I dream about my parents' home or about my parents at all). It's like it was in the 80s with the living room furniture near the fireplace (it's flipped since then) and there's a fabric rocking chair (that was actually my grandmother's and given to me in the 90s. I gave it away when I moved to Florida) Dad and I were tussling around with a cat near the chair and mom was there. She was between the chair and the wall.
The fireplace wall is interesting. it's in an S pattern of gray stone 'bricks' (Dad saw it in a dream and had it built that way in R.L.) Mom was yelling at us to quit rough housing but we didn't. Somehow we managed to bowl her over the chair and her head/neck struck the wall. She barely even cried out.
Keep in mind I have dissected humans and worked in Emergency rooms. I know the sound a skull makes when you break it. That was the sound in my dream. We got mom on her feet and I was screaming at Dad to call 911 (shades of what really did happen when she did fall)
I have dealt with a lot of head trauma patients. I know what it looks like and that was the look in Mom's eyes. Her mouth was moving but she couldn't talk.
I woke up then. Forget sleeping after that. Thanks brain.

Date: 2022-08-24 12:46 pm (UTC)How irritating about your appointment snafu and the lab change.
I hope your mom gets better (or realizes she needs more than PT).
