Sep. 26th, 2005 02:48 pmI'm in a strange cycle. I can't sleep. I'm not even tired. I go to bed at my normal 1 AM but at 3 AM I'm still wide awake. I tend to nod off for like an hour or so between 4-5 then get back to sleep for another hour or so until 8 AM. During those times I dream vividly. this has been happening since Friday. Woe's to the student who choses to mess with the sleep deprived next to psychotic teacher. I teach Mendelian Genetics today and have to explain monohybrid vs dihybrid crosses to them, pray for me.
No word on the computer since now the only card I have that could handle that charge is one shared with Mom. Mom and Dad are touring the national parks of the south west for their 40th weddding anniversary and can't be reached. My other card, the Target Visa could have handled it except Sears and Capitol One reported me as being late on a payment (I wasn't and was credited back the late payment with Sears and have 100$ of overpayment to Capitol One) so Target panicked and cut my credit...it's like I didn't DO anything wrong. Sears and Capitol One are morons and so are you Target. Bangs head until bloody.
Oh and for you Law and Order Criminal Intent people, look under the cut and answer me a question if you can but only if you saw last night's premiere. Spoiler alert for the L&O C.I. premiere
. Okay, Did Wisconsin screw up last year and show the wrong ending? Last year when they had the vote on if Bobby's nemesis lives or dies (Nicole? Rachel? Why can't I remember) they showed her dying along with the woman she took hostage. So I was stunned to see her come back last night. What was up with that? To be honest I'm tired of seeing her a little. I'm not much on repeat villians. And I'm just not that excited about Chris Noth. I did like him as Logan so I'm holding out hope but so far I don't like where they took his character last year and I'm not sure I'll like it this year. But I'll reserve judgement)
Well back to work. Raise hands anyone who thinks that my students will grasp the idea of Punnett Squares.

Date: 2005-09-26 07:08 pm (UTC)I was a little disappointed with last night episode and Bobby's reaction to Nicole. Like get over her... she's a bad guy.
And Chris Noth? I'll give it a chance at least they're doing it alternating episodes.

Date: 2005-09-26 07:14 pm (UTC)Yeah, I was really bothered by Bobby's obvious attraction to her.
I'll give it a chance too but damn, Noth is not aging well, at least IMO

Date: 2005-09-26 07:12 pm (UTC)In re: sleep patterns - we're in the same cycle, obviously. I'm wanting to sleep around five in the p.m., then when I'm trying to get to sleep, around twelve - one a.m., I'm wide awake. When I do drop off, I'm awake again around two - three and then of course, the beasts wake me up between five and six to go outside. *siiiiigh*

Date: 2005-09-26 07:46 pm (UTC)Personally, I love biology, and Mendelian genetics made me feel smart because I grasped the concepts so quickly and easily. I had fun making up Punnett squares. *pauses* My cool cred just got shot way to hell, didn't it? I would have gone to every freaking session of my biology class if it hadn't been scheduled at eight in the morning three days a week. As it was, I was happy I made all the tests and an occasional class here or there. LOL
Also, I have determined that anyone who works for a credit company, or a credit reporting company, is both insanely evil and monumentally stupid. They are determined to fuck with our credit and ruin our lives, and then can't figure out what the hell we are talking about or why we are so upset when we call in to correct their errors.
I'm having issues, too, can you tell? :P

Date: 2005-09-26 08:55 pm (UTC)No argument re: credit cards. Dumb shits. Well YOU overpaid Miss Evans. It's Dr. Evans and I paid what you asked for. In other words you asked for 100$ more than I owed but at least you twits figured it out.
Ditto with Verizon in Wisconsin (yes I had them then too) First I got 25$ back as a refund then 45$ for them charging me for a month I wasn't even there (see how much I was paying attention send me a bill I'll pay it...)

Date: 2005-09-26 11:28 pm (UTC)Ouch. I didn't realize this was the same class. And yes, it does answer my question. People are stupid. *loves my "stupid people suck" icon*
(see how much I was paying attention send me a bill I'll pay it...)
LOL, I am the exact same way. New bill? Paid? Check. Wait. That was for something I never bought? Craaaap.

Date: 2005-09-27 12:24 am (UTC)Can't comment on L&O CI because I don't watch it. Way too much pathology swimming around the primary characters for this therapist.
Credit cards are a conspiracy to ruin us. Just plain evil!

Date: 2005-09-27 05:50 pm (UTC)Yeah Bobby does have the whole pathology thing going. I think they're trying to suggest he has asberger's syn. (which I think I spelled wrong)
