Worse than I thought

I'm at work on a Saturday but not working per se...I've run into a real problem. I brought in the disc I burned the week before the computer died. I've been very good lately about NOT having stuff scattered all over my damn hard drive. I've put things into folders, including ALL my school work. NONE of the folders burned to the disc. I know I sent them but not ONE is there. I thought they were. SO I've lost ALL of my new stories. Luckily some of them are here in LJ. So instead of working today I'll be at forever fandom which is back from the dead snagging all my stories off line just in case it dies again but some things are gone for good including all the stories I was doing for charity. Hopefully I still have the edits of these in my inbox so I can at least reconstruct them.

Here's to the back up disc not having all the files. sob.

Oh, argh. So sorry this happened. I had stuff go poof before for various reasons, and it just left me utterly numb. I hope you can reconstruct the vast majority of it. *sigh*

Yeah. A lot of work. Can you reproduce them to any extent? Do you have the software? The notes?

I once lost a chapter of my Master's thesis when I accidentally erased it and spent the rest of the day reproducing it while it was still in my memory.
