My life sometimes

I was gone longer today than when I actually work. I got to the gym and there was barely any parking places. I wasn't too worried about not working out because when the Y gets this many people going it is usually some kid thing in the gym. Bingo. Girl's volley ball. there wasn't a soul in my work out area. Got my ride in.
I go to the library and get out my last 3 books to enter the drawing but I'm wrong. It's NOT a drawing. I get a prize automatically. I got a mug and a blanket (i.e. cozy up with your tea and read) with the library's logo on them. that was cute. Really. I need to take a pic.
I chill at the coffee shop feeling a little bad about things. I talked about this with evil little dog yesterday, I do NOT want to be one of those people who can only write at a coffee house. However, there's no denying I write better there. For some reason I am able to keep my ass mostly off line there when I can't at home. that is definitely a me issue. I need to be more disciplined and tonight I was. I'm over 2K for the day.
I head to Kroger's and there isn't an open spot because of the impending holiday so I go to Big Lots, can't find the microwaves but I do ask after them. They had been pulled out of the kitchen section and were on a holiday kiosk that I walked by three times. Go me. I buy the bigger one. Find a place at Kroger's. Somehow spend over an hour there and two hundred bucks. Yikes. Granted booze is expensive and so are freaking nuts. Remember this Dana. Use every. damn. last. nut. I don't care on what.
I go to CVS and tell them to keep my dex com reader. My doc warned me it was impossible to tell what an insurance will do with these and 75$ a sensor is the no-insurance straight up price and that's exactly what the cost was so it will need to be go as durable medical goods but I have enough test strips to last til Jan and since my insurance might change this year I'm leaving it til then
I get home and my three old lady neighbors have their dogs out. Rocket comes out of my place as I'm shoving groceries in and here come the little dogs two yorkie mixes one shiz tzu and then there's Roscoe a three-legged tea cup chihuahua who thinks he's a mastiff and always harrasses me like I couldn't kick him into the sun. He flies up onto the porch giving me shit and Rocket too and I'm like Roscoe you are a third of the cat's size. Rocket might just kill you like a rat. Rocket could care less. Mean while the dogs are so excited to be out and running around peeing on things including each other's heads. Yeah I'm glad I have a cat.
The microwave is WAY smaller than my old one but you know what, if a plate fits in there that's fine. I could use the counter space and I don't need all the fancy things that were on the other one because I honestly don't cook in it. I defrost stuff i forgot to put out and I heat up my tea and not much else other than the breakfast burrito.
I went to the Abney Park album release concert and other than firefox crashing on my end constantly and youtube freezing for everyone, it was very good.
The really bad thing of the day was my external hard drive. I knew I had to bring over the photos and videos (since the desk top is having issues with logging on) I do that, no problem then I realize...that was ALL that was one the drive. I swore I had backed up most of my computer but there was nothing. None of my stories, none of my classes. I need to move all that (HOW did I never do this? I swore I had...) I started pulling this onto it and get the notice it's full. I honestly think that was a computer issue becuase it kept loading and there is NO way it's full. It's a 2 terabyte drive. The damn desk top doesn't have a terabyte of memory so there's no way...

Snippet - When they arrived in the abandoned store at the edge of town, several blocks from campus three guys and one girl were there. They took one look at Dan and Howell and frowned. Yep, this was to scam on girls, Grace thought. The girl who was there seemed oblivious to her companions, checking her old fashioned tape recorder. She, no doubt, was the one serious about ghosts.
“Hey Tim,” Kendra called. “We brought some friends. Hope you don’t mind.”
“Not at all,” he said while his face claimed ‘I mind very much you brought men.’
“I’m Grace,” she said, deciding to take the lead and hoped being bubbly defused some of the tension. “This is Alessia, Dan and Howell. We love ghost stories.”
“They’re not just stories,” the girl said, still not looking up from her recorder. “I’m doing real parapsychological investigation. Tim, Nick and Frank tell stories.”
“Really? I’m fascinated by parapsychology,” Al said and the girl perked up.
“Me too. I’ve been to the Society for Psychical Research meetings in London,” Howell said.
She brightened further and Grace smiled. Leave it to a cute face to make headway. “Really? I’d love to do that? Are you from London?”
He shook his head. “I’m from Wales but I lived in London briefly. Are you doing an investigation now….I’m sorry I didn’t get your name.”
“Erica.” She stuck out her hand but didn’t get up from her seat on the floor.

Date: 2022-11-20 04:30 pm (UTC)I wouldn't know how to partition anything so no. I probably procrastinated long enough to think I actually did it

Date: 2022-11-20 01:47 pm (UTC)Yay for new microwave. Ours is small, too. I don't think they make them as big as they used to, which was HUGE. I don't use all the bells and whistles, either. Like you, defrost and heating up drinks or leftovers are the main uses. *g*

Date: 2022-11-20 04:23 pm (UTC)Yeah they definitely aren't as big as they were even 10 years ago (probably 15 really for this one) I think they realize most of us do exactly what you and I do with it. most of us aren't cooking a chicken in there
