Because my life is a farce

cornerofmadnessToday didn't go to plan..like at all. AT ALL. Somehow it took most of the day to get get all the winter and summer clothes turned over. I mean I had so much planned for today and it was 90% that. It wasn't like I even spent any of it writing. I have NO idea where this day went.
I was awakened again at 830 by Navient about that loan but fine since I needed to talk to them. It was part their fault and part mine. I had forgotten that they had to change my account entirely last time. It's fixed. Let's put you on automatic payment. How about you blow me? It will only do interest not principle. If I can't get into my account how am I getting my tax info? Let's just get me in there, okay? (to be fair, the customer service rep on the phone was good and talked my rude ass off the ledge.)
I am to the point of being overwhelmed. I have to let it go. The house isn't going to be cleaned. I'll be lucky to get the car packed at this point. I forget which of you pointed me to![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
bitesizedcleaning but come January I am going to be doing this. I think if I do it just like the title says things might improve in here.
I was thinking about doing something with the sequel to my Buffy-Angelverse story Hyperion's Son. I had already written scads on this sequel and it seemed like the thing to bring with me and work on a little...and it slowly sinks in that somehow it was NEVER saved to the desk top. HOW?!? I scanned all over the last 5 years for it. Nothing. I was ready to cry but thought okay calm down you have some of it printed. You'll just have to wait til summer and dig it out.
Then I was packing up some fanfic to read and maybe something to noodle with and there it was by my bed at least SOME of it (like 60 pages of it). It had a name. Dominion of Dust. I grabbed that and did a search and found one file with only about 20 pages but now I had a year. And yeah apparently in 2019 I did zero saving to that desktop. Guess what? My laptop and flashdrive from then are dead. So it's still all gone. I will have to figure out how to deal with hard copy. Retype? get speech to text software? Scan this to PDF and try to go from there using rewritable software? I don't know. I even searched my emails but since evil little dog doesn't really beta for me any more between time constraints and the overall shittiness of Google chromebooks that means there's not even a sent copy hiding in my email (there was one of like 500 words I must have emailed to myself when something was going wrong) Now I'm afraid to know how many original stories I lost in that time period and hell that probably also means a lot of my prodigal son stories are only on AO3 with no other back up. I am going to look in Google Docs and Drop box but I don't remember putting it there. SIGH. Might have some older flash drives but that search can wait til Jan.
I occasionally buy prepackaged dinners, usually vegetarian for busy days. Had Wicked's shroom shreds, it was like eating rubber bands covered in bad taco seasoning. Won't make that mistake again.
Something rather large was in the crawl space right up under my desk. Yeah super glad I'm leaving. I hope to hell whatever that was doesn't get in here.
Day 17 of tea
Adagio - blackberry sage oolong. It's basically right there in the title. it's an absolutely winning combination (I had liked Republic of Tea's version of this but this one beats that up). I will be buying this one.
Yawn Brew - Jasmine and fruit. It's green tea, jasmine petals and 'natural flavors.' Strangely enough no damn apple hunks. Very floral and quite good. There is a hint of fruit but I'd be lying if I said I knew what. Orange I think.
I missed out on Fandom Recs last night so have them now

ETA - Apparently 25 degrees isn't enough to kill ticks. Rocket insisted on being in an out tonight. I put my laptop down where he'd been sitting so I could go let him out. Came back and there was a tick on the screen. GAH
