The food poisoning was all resolved by morning. Mom and I did an insane thing and went to Costco because she bought herself her own 80th birthday cake. (I don't like cake and would never have thought of it, also I'm not a member). Were they giving away food? Yes they must have been because the line was literally from front of the store to the back. Ye Gods.

We went for Mexican this time and my god the price of their mixed drinks (did not get one) literally more than the food. Nope keep it. I can buy the whole bottle for this price like four doors down from here.

Still somehow found very little time to write but I did finish one story for

fandomtrees. I should get one little one done tonight.

Tomorrow is mom's 80th birthday. Hopefully we can take her out because it's being rainy but going super cold tonight and will probably be a sheet of ice. Whee.

Day 22 of tea

Adagio - Christmas tea - a black tea with cinnamon, cardamon, orange and cloves. it is very christmassy and very good.

Yawn Brew - Blue Belly tea. Okay this one is actually medicine (and I bet they sell it as a natural way to calm the GI track) It's herbal. Been more than twenty-five years since I've been out for a meal with peeps. Not sure I could do it now.

I am working on my first story for nearly a year; looking to be a 1,000 word fanfic for a seven year old Japanese web series called Transit Girls. Discovered it via a fanvid a couple of years ago, and recently managed to get hold of all eight episodes.

I've been getting into a couple of Japanese shows; some Korean ones, particularly one that was released just in November, called She Makes My Heart Flutter (took until my third time through; eerily enough the third episode, for it to occur to me there were no male characters at all; indeed the only mention males get is in a conversation about getting grandma off your back, and stopping her setting you up with 'eligible' boys) :-) Also discovered a wonderful Thai series and there's an Indiam lesbian series from a few years back that I discovered by accident too.

I'll need some help with the different emphasis on formal/informal name usage, but they've been re-awakening my desire to write; even been looking at my alt-Wishverse (EvilTara) series, and the series where Willow is killed and not Jesse.

Most of all I was writing a series for someone who disappeared from fan life a long time ago now; still got some to write to finish it and, even if they never get to see them, I really want to finish them.

Watching Transit Girls yet again right now :-)

Can't find my X-Files boxset with How the Ghosts Stole Christmas on it but, apart from Amends & the Third Watch xmas ep I've watched all my xmas eps at least once. When I get back from Glasgow tonight I plan on watching White Christmas in honour of the beautiful snow we had here last week.

Don't usually watch that one first, but it feels appropriate this year.

Glad you're writing again. I don't know that show at all but I definitely know there are a lot of interest in Korean shows lately. I've seen a lot of my friends going into those fandoms. Good luck with it.

I've been using

wipbigbang to get some of my old abandoned Buffy stories done. That does sound like an interesting one, your wishverse AU.

I only have one planned holiday movie on my watch list, Patrick Stewart's A Christmas carol.
