In spite of the fact the local subways never gets my order right, I go back every thursday (my 11 hour day). Today I get back with my turkey sub and there was a dead spider in the wrapping paper. A big black one. Thank god I saw it before I took a bite.

There isn't much in the way of food here. Subways, a Bob Evans (but I don't have time for that) and a pizza place I can't find and the deli in the gas station. The deli won. Took the spider sandwich back and got my money back and got some hot wing 'popcorn' chicken. It's good only they have no blue cheese or ranch to dip in. Pout

And the manager acted like I made it up. I brought the sandwich back untouched. I didn't eat it and then find it. (thankfully)

Ick! I think that store needs to be reported to the franchise headquarters. Don't know how much good it'd do, but that's disgusting. ::shudder::

Yeah that was my reaction but having worked for Subways I know how much good that'll do (nothing)

Bob Evans will usually do call ahead orders. You should pick up a carryout menu.

It's right across the street and I think they will do it. Only they're three times the price of anything else around me (i.e. I'm cheap)

thanks. Occasionally I do go to Bob's. I'll be honest 'home cooking' doesn't appeal to me. I like exotic foods. I've moved to ALL the wrong area

Oh, argh and ick! That is horrific. :X

My little town has most fast food franchise known to man (save Fazoli's, the only one I really want) but very little else in the way of dining. I did have Macomb Korean last night (it's a restaurant/alterations place. *snort* and that concept continues to crack me up...).

Good luck finding spider-free food. *shudder*

Shudders. That would make start another fast, immediately.

I'm so spoiled leaving in the greater NYC area. I had Korean on Tuesday and tonight to break the fast, a salad afrom Panera's.

I don't much like cities but the food can not be beaten. I miss that living in the middle of BFE

Ooooh Korean. Not much of that in my part of things. I miss it terribly. Nothing like spiced ginger root. People around here look at me like I'm crazy and point me toward pickled things. [shudder]
