Screw at least a half hour of my stuff for the kids and took them outside and let the little monsters run around. Now I FINALLY understand recess (I never did as a kid. I didn't like recess)

I only lost one student who didn't come back (not any of the ones I wished gave up) and got a new one who is...let's just say these kids mostly know each other and they DO NOT like her. I get it. I think she likes them, wants their attention and gets it by hitting them.

They enjoyed playing with the plastic bones and playdough. But I see, just watching my nearest neighbor, that there is a VAST difference between 5th and 6th grade. It's like there's a maturity switch someone turns on.

I have no idea how I'm getting my story done by tomorrow's posting. It's over 20K maybe they won't notice the last chapter isn't there...

I owe a lot of comments. Maybe tomorrow.

Ahaha yessss, being outside with them helps SO much with behavior! Especially in nature. I take my middle outside every day or he becomes impossible.

It definitely helped. I grew up on the family land of some 40 acres and since this was the 70s basically they pushed me out the door, come back when you hear the dinner bell
