No seriously. Somehow I didn't plan enough for today (mostly because I THOUGHT the games would work and they won't) but DM came in with the save. L was doing an environmental puppet show for the better part of an hour for DM's third graders and did I want to jump in. Yes, dump your husband and marry me. I love you. My student helper is asking what is the show about? I seriously DO NOT care. It's an hour I don't have to do crap. Afterwards I threw them outside to run around.
They are done. This camp is WAY too long. I mean if it was a real camp with counselors and things to do to break up the day it would be one thing but it's not and they're resentful they have to do this all day in the summer. (Happy first day of summer). One of them told me he wasn't going to do what I asked and he didn't care if his mother said he had to. He was throwing it all in the trash. I told him fine I'll inform your mother of your choice. (Boy did he hustle in the parking lot so he could get mom back to the car before I got to her.) Others are fighting. Some profs had to do time outs. I'm THIS close to calling a few parents to come get them. Your belligerent kid is ruining it for the ones who want to be there.
And some DO. A small handful are a joy and are enjoying themselves. I have one who keeps trying to clean the whole room at the end and I have to shoo him out because he needs to walk with my student across campus (so I don't have to walk him) assuring him I appreciate his efforts but I'll clean up.
What I Just Finished Reading:
Willows Weep a ghost investigation non fiction, it had a lot of various investigators saying yep this place is bad haunted and subscribes to the more Zac Bagan ideas of everything is a portal to hell with demons and they are causing sickness. I don't really buy into that paranormal theory.
I finished my
unconventionalcourtship story so I thought I'd share it here

What I Just Finished Reading: I'm in Love with Mothman by Paige Lavoie. Oh wow that ending was something....not good. Also it was obvious Lavoie never so much as even Google Earthed Point Pleasant.
Death on the Danube by Jennifer S Alderoon which was a pretty decent mystery though it took 50% of the novel to go by before a crime happened.
What I am Currently Reading:
There Comes a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool Ill be honest didn't even pick it up second week running
The Joy Machine some star trek thing, pretty boring.
Together We Rot by Skyla Arndt - a YA horror arc that has sucked me in hard. I want to go collect Elwood and keep him with me...which actually is the plot of that solarpunk thing I'm going to miss deadline on. Sharp could be Elwood (down to the religious cultish dad)
What I Plan to Read Next: probably something for pop sugar
