Since I'll be going back soon mom and I have been out and about trying to do stuff. A town not far from here has a crap ton of antique stores (that we didn't do) and a fairly thriving historic downtown in spite of the paid parking (eye roll) We hit a coffee/cafe that was good but honestly more about the sandwiches than the coffee. And we went to Grandpa Joe's candy shop It's a small chain in OH/PA/WV (Turns out there is one in Chillicothe) and for some reason in Ocala FL. It had games but of course the draw is the candy. They had a lot of older stuff you just don't see in stores any more like sky bars, goo goo clusters, mallow milks etc. I picked up some skittles from Japan in you guess 'em flavors (since I can't read their alphabet), violet crumbles (so many bags of that) sky bars and some gifts for others and a flying cauldron butterscotch beer (yeah might dislike Rowling but this isn't lining her pocket)

the work issues just keep getting worse with the book store. It's killing me. At least the publisher is giving me almost 3 weeks to get the edits in. bless them.

And for those with kids and/or teachers some tips for mental health care for middle schoolers (and seriously Mothers of Liberty how could you NOT want care for your kids? Not sure how it fits into your racist regime)
middle school mental health care

What I Just Finished Reading:

Killer Crust - a cozy mystery centered around a pizza maker and her sister. It's not half bad except the sisters think they're better than the cops and are super annoying about it.

Not in Hollywood - another cozy/romance with a sleuth who is a personal manager to movie stars (and has been blackmailed into sleuthing by the police who needed an in to that particular jet set, which could have been achieved by other means so that's annoying)

What I am Currently Reading:

The Reformatory by Tananarive Due this is hard because it's set against the real history of the Dozier school which is a thing of nightmares. Due lost a great uncle there.

The Diabolical Miss Hyde - I'm on the fence about this steampunked gender flipped retelling (honestly not really) of Jekyll/Hyde

What Stalks Among Us - YA horror, very weird but it's helping me with the closed room version of increasing tension

What I Plan to Read Next: The Widows

I had to look up violet crumbles based on the name alone and, dang!, it sounds good!
