A dangerous day

For all those in Florida and otherwise in the path of the hurricane a very dangerous one. (and hope you all stay safe) For me it's because my blood sugar is tragically high today. It's too the point I'm jamming lots of insulin in tonight (after being in such a sugar cloud I forgot it this morning entirely) and dancing around like Frankenstein's monster because my limbs are leaden BUT I know exercise drive sugar down. So there was an hour of 80s hair band stuff going on with me struggling to move.

I had planned to go to the gym tomorrow but forgot I had a doc appt tomorrow and friday and didn't want to be 30 miles in the wrong direction. sigh. Oh well I need to get a hotel anyhow for the weekend if I can. I really need to decide what I want to do.

I got a rejection on the solarpunk family thing. There is a new place to send it to with okay pay (about 55$ for the story) and if not there I know there'll be other markets If anyone wants to do a short story beta trade let me know.

What I Just Finished Reading:

Harvest House by Cynthia Leitich Smith, an Indigenous mystery/halloween story, which was good BUT the story got muddled because it was trying so hard to teach the YA audience about Indigenous people aren't Halloween costume ideas (valid) that maybe it missed a bigger problem (maybe because teens are powerless to help?) of missing Indigenous girls so it felt like some missed opportunities.
