Sort of pointless

So today was the endocrinologist. She was mostly yeah I don't know either with your sugar. I decided fine, I'm stopping that one med and we're going to try another of the meds I haven't that is an old one. we'll see.

Turns out there is a pill version of the same class ozempic, trulicity and a few others that won't have as bad of side effects BUT you can only take it by itself, no other pills, no food, no more than 4 oz of water for a half hour and it STILL causes pretty severe gastric paresis (slow down of the stomach) but I already have paresis (I've been nauseated and nearly throwing up all weekend as is from it) so we decided yeah no to this one. There is one in trials right now also related to it (for my other diabetic friends) that isn't yet (but soon hopefully) but it has a glycogen agonist and it is reversing non-alcoholic fatty liver syndrome (common in diabetics) Hmmm (but I probably still can't take it)

My brain is feeling a lot clearer without that pill anyhow so no loss there. I'll call that doc in the morning and let him know that decision.

Something strange happened today. I had to return those too small bunny slippers to amazon. In fact I nearly missed the deadline (it was today) And they refunded the money and there was a message 'NO NEED TO RETURN' What?!? They refunded my money (it's already back) but don't want the slippers back...okay then.

I got these The Owl House stickers. They are gorgeous. I should get the whole set but they're sold out of Amity (I did contact them to ask if she plans to restock hers) I was going to put them on my new drink thermos for work but they're SO big and so pretty I think I want to do a little art project with them.

I woke up to the news about David Mcallum... so sad :-( I have to remember to see if Mommy knows.

That's interesting on the meds. My doctor just put me on ozempic (although I haven't started it yet--thanks insurance) but the shot version.

I've had that happen a couple of times with stuff from Amazon and I just donate them.

Ozempic is only injection. it's cousin risyltus (or however it's spelled) that can be a pill too. Good luck once you get it.

Really? I was stunned that they didn't want this stuff back. So wild (and yes it's going to get donated)

Ah okay. Makes sense. Well, I've lost about 3 pounds this month so I'm calling it a success. And my blood sugar has been between 130 and 150 which is much better than the 160s I was getting. It's consistantly in the 130s more than anything.

Yeah I've had that happen. I guess it costs more for them to return it than just refund the money. The ones I don't like are the ones where they CHARGE you to return it.

He is. My one regret when I broke up with my ex was he had the Bon Jovi tickets. (Says something about our relationship...)

don't start me on that. I almost never buy shoes online unless Zappos (free shipping) I bought boots from Roaman's. They might not work. If they don't I have to pay to return then I'll be out 40$ for something I don't even have (20$ both ways)

That's me with the dog toy I just bought. I swear they said it was 18 for FOUR of them... I open the box and there's only one. It's not worth it to me to send that ONE back since I have to pay shipping.

I buy shoes online through Amazon. That way I just have to take them back to UPS and they get returned. And I buy and return a LOT of shoes.

I work out several times a week to no avail

yeah I have to drive MANY miles to get to UPS so online shoes aren't worht it to me

Yeah after the third in this class they said never again again (because we're thinking about a cousin to ozempic but it's not covered by insurance)

I'm glad stopping that med has already had some positive effects, but it sucks that you have to do all the thinking about it yourself.
