Conferring further royalty to me
Oct. 12th, 2023 11:43 pmYeah so I got my crown today. It did not go easily. It did not want to sit in there. The glue didn't want to hold. Finally it was fine. However there is more bad news. Some I knew (I need another bite guard and I have no anterior guides to keep my jaw from clenching bad in my sleep) and some I didn't (my oldest crown is very worn down. Sigh)
I didn't get to do some of what I wanted because there wasn't time (or should I say everything I want to do this weekend can't work because of the timing of those things) but I would have liked to have gone to the earthworks in Chillicothe. have you heard the Hopewell sites are now a UNSECO heritage site? That's pretty cool.
I did get to chill and not write what I'm supposed to be writing while at Rost and they were roasting coffee in front of me the whole time. Sweet.
And I had time to make it back for the Someone's in the Kitchen with Lizzie : Lizzie Borden's kitchen hacks and victorian recipes talk. Yes, a bit silly and very earnest at the same time with a bit of a skit with Lizzie and her stepmother. I had fun with it at least.
I picked up the venison/elk big game burger at Arby's, shocked mine even had it. They were out of the sauce and the bun and the pickles. We can put it on the star bun with BBQ sauce. Sure. I have pickles of my own. Was it good? eh, no not really. Zero spices in it, just a hint of gaminess and a bit raw in the middle. It wasn't awful but it wasn't memorable either.
