Glad of the camp ground

My former landlord has an RV/hunting camp next door and lets me use the laundry there. I haven't been to the laundromat in over a year but today I went because a) hunters b) big blankets needing washed. Yikes, I'll deal with the weirdo hunters because they jumped the cost at the laundromat to stupid levels.

Other than that I'm not sure what I did today because the day went in the blink of an eye. I'm never getting anything cleaned, that's for sure. Oh well. I will have to make a real effort to do so.

I was trying to find a fifth story in my fullmetal alchemist series but cannot. It would have been written near the last major computer crash but I don't see it. I know I wrote it. I have too many scenes from it in my head not to have. I'm sure I did because evil little dog and I would talk the story over and she'd give me ideas. I know it had Ed and Dev's reaction to Riza's pregnancy reaction, I remember Roy staying with Uzziel and his family in a snow storm. I hope it's not lost for good.

I think I need to do what I had started before Prodigal Son derailed me. Put all my Buffyverse stuff up on AO3 (maybe start mirroring everything onto Squidgeworld. Hmmm wonders if it has a migration tool) And then start doing the same with Fullmetal. Quite a bit of FMA is already up on AO3 but mostly the old fma contest stuff which had been a weekly challenge that I do miss from time to time along with the Buffyverse open on sunday (none of which I have up anywhere but LJ). Even just putting it up unaltered could take me the better part of the year but I am cleaning them up slowly as I go. I'm a better writer now than 20 years ago and some things didn't age as well as others

I've mirrored all my works on the AO3 in early summer this year.
You can import stories into Squidgeworld, but I found it needed so much editing it's less stressful to do it right from the start.
What works really well, though: just copy&paste everything from AO3 as it's literally a mirror; just the fandom names sometimes are difficult. I also found out that if you type your tags as plain text, you can copy several tags at once into the tag field. This needs some testing - I forgot if you put them in with just spaces in-between or commas or so, but it worked really well.
Paritcularly if you'll put stuff on the AO3 the first time it's well worth the effort to upload it to Squidgeworld simultaneously, as this will be the least effort.

thanks. Not sure I am doing it, looking at squidge's policies of don't put too much info in your bio that people might have an issue with (which honestly makes sense but I'm not sure they'll do better than AO3 in protecting LGBT or creators of color)
