thinking deep thoughts

As NaNoWriMo loams near it occurs to me I haven't written anything original this year. Okay two little chapters of that one story and a scene for the script and that is that. The story I started with Nano last year hasn't been touched since.

Certainly the repulsive run in with the disreptuable agent this time last year didn't help either but I never touched my synopsis for Machiavelli Moon either. Nothing. Didn't join up with the national writers groups like I said I would since at this point their sponsered contests is the best way to get yourself in front of an agent. Yeah, i did nothing.

Didn't finish the script even though I know someone who might look at it.

Hell outside of short burst for Maren's birthday, I didn't even touch those WIP's I promised to finish back in June.

As I sit here now, I look back at the wreck of this year. I guess that I'm doing okay since I narrowed avoided being committed for depression earlier this year but it has left a huge mark on me. What I need is a kick in the ass and that's what I'm asking you all to do. You'll see the word count thing go up for Nanomo. I'm not looking to 'win' this year, just to get writing again. What I want from you all is prods and kicks. Have you done your synopsis, Dana? How about those Wips? That's a piss-poor word count, you planning on doing more than talk? I'm betting you can do it. I can honestly blame relatives for this week, but they won't be around for too much longer ... I sincerely hope!

Good luck with that! I dont have the guts to write original fic, but you have such talent. I know you'll do well with everyone pushing you or without.
