At least I have power

cornerofmadnessMade it home without problems. The power is on (which it wasn't yesterday in my area) I got everything in and somehow aggravated my bad knee in the process. Hoping that calms down overnight.
But it is NOT a good day So my aunt called this morning. Uncle is having trouble standing up and walking. I told her to call 911. Uncle doesn't want her to. I told Dad you go down there because I know Uncle will listen to his brother. Dad all but raised him (Their dad died when my uncle was 9 and dad was 19) Uncle fails the stroke protocol and they transport him. When I got back here I called back to see what was happening and it's not great news. They're shipping him into Pittsburgh as soon as a bed is open. They're not sure if it's a stroke. It could be a brain tumor.
And there is certainly a possibility. He was an auto mechanic in the days before worker protection and he smoked (it could easily be a brain met from lung cancer). However I have doubts. Generally you don't get a sudden bell's palsy and unilateral muscle weakness from a tumor. Another absolute possibility (which happened at this same hospital in Nov to a friend of the family where it was misdiagnosed at first) is Uncle is OVER MEDICATED (which was the problem with the friend too). He takes a shit ton of meds (his neck is destroyed so there are muscle relaxers, pain meds, neuropathy meds, diabetes meds, blood pressure meds) and then he takes every supplement known to man that he thinks will help. I've been advocating for him to detox with professional help and start anew.
