Botanical Gardens

Evil Little Dog and I met with our friend (from the Elfquest days) and her teenaged kid at the Botanical gardens. I did not anticipate this taking ALL day but it certainly took most of it and we didn't see all of it by a long shot. It's an amazing space. With gardens and houses and museums and it's very obviously an all day thing if not a multi day thing. I ended up with a pink-white dipladenia (because sure, more plants)

We went to fitz's which is an iconic place, known for making sodas. I got a falafel 'burger' and a ghostbuster float which was way too much ice cream and marshmallow fluff and yummy.

From there it was to the butterfly house (love butterflies) and to the 103 year St. Louis carousel next door for a ride around. And then it was nearly 5 pm and my knee looks like a sad balloon.

We went to Massa's for dinner, a 50 year old Italian place and it was good. I had tutta de mare where they managed to cook all the seafood perfectly. There was even live entertainment.

Pictures another day. Like a dummy I forgot to bring my spare battery today so I had to use my phone which means I have to go up to freaking FB first.

I love butterflies too. ( ї ) ...does that look suitably butterfly-ish?
