Couldn't ask for a better day to drive home

I did get on the road much earlier than usual so I wouldn't have to unload in the snow in the dark. The roads were fine including here until I got to my road which was bad but I expected that. I'm not even sure why the school has been closed and/or delayed since there's NOT that much snow. Okay that's a lie. I do know. They like to pretend we don't get snow here and have zero preparation for when it does (also we're poor and can't afford it)

Nothing was bad when I got here and Rocket is fine (but the idiot insisted on going back out there. It's so cold but he wouldn't stay in (and he's destructive if I don't let him out before anyone s me about it)

I am sorry for dad though. he took my advice about a friend he was trying to get in contact with and called the home. I was right, the guy died three weeks ago. Aging is hard.

I am SO glad the school already pulled the trigger on canceling the all day faculty meeting we all hate anyhow. I was annoyed I'd have to get up at 6 AM (keeping in mind my butt hasn't been working since May last year) only to get a 2 hour delay and/or cancelation. So thrilling that I don't have to. If it's not snowing in the morning I'm going to the store. If it does, well I have plenty of food. Say a prayer for my electricity though.
