Good decisions and sketchy ones
Apr. 26th, 2025 11:25 pmLast night I had decided I didn't want to go to the Viking fest even though I had been looking forward to it. I've never been and it gives food to a food pantry (that's the cost of admission) But I'm not that big into Viking anything and next weekend will be crazy busy.
It was a good decision because it was drizzly, in the 50s and felt colder. It was an outdoor event 75 miles away so good decision.
I said I wasn't going to buy any library books this sale but I stopped in to check out the new books and noticed a lot of the YA fantasy books, especially the LGBT, were for sale. (I don't think that's why they were being thrown out. The YA section is tiny and the new book shelf was stuffed with LGBT books) So yeah I bought some. Makes up for not going to the indie bookstore hop in Columbus, right?
I woke up very early today. I had been dreaming I was in my parents' living room. Mom and Dad were on the couch. I glanced over and Dad is lying bent over the arm of the couch and I was wondering WTF he was doing. He looks at me and gasps I can't breathe and I realize he's having a heart attack. I pull him to the floor and run for the phone in the kitchen (why I don't know as there's a phone in the living room) and it's the old corded one we had in the 80s and it doesn't work. I get the living room phone wondering if I can get on the ground to do CPR as I'm yelling at mom to go get him an aspirin since I don't know where she keepts them. I'm staring at the phone wondering how to dial 911 because I can't remember the numbers. I keep thinking it's 999. And then I wake up.
Thanks for nothing brain. I know you're stressed but damn.
I forgot to share all the cool stuff I got at Ratha Con last weekend. Here you go
Make It So early grey tea soap and my Fizzarolli/Asmodeus couples earring
I wish she had a shop (she's the one with just an IG from last week's saturday post) I love her Husker and Angel art
It was hard picking a background color. She draws the art and then prints it out and watercolors them.
