Finally good medical news

Thanks to those of you who stopped by to bolster my spirits. No diabetes in my eyes. Yay! My cataracts aren't any bigger, boo. (that's the only way to get the artificial lens to fix my vision which is very very bad) I got my script so I can get prescription sunglasses.
BUT my dumb ass forgot the fact that the BMV isn't going to hand me a real id (which they used to do with regular license) and now I'm not sure I have time to get it mailed to me before I leave so I might have to come back here in June. Geez.
That's the barely interesting news of the day so have friday's fannish recs and my story of the week (It's NOT safe for work)
Title: here.Fire Spin (Dancing in the Sheets Again)
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel
Summary: After Angel’s new and alluring, yet non-erotic, stage show, Husk is pretty well swept away by how intoxicating the dance was. He has to show Angel how much he enjoyed it.

Husk relaxed back in his seat. It wasn’t often one of his former friends offered a bit of an olive branch since he’d become Alastor’s puppet. Fletcher had been a small town club owner when Husk knew him and really, his holdings weren’t much bigger. They did, however, border on Cannibal Town and on occasion, Fletcher let Rosie rent out his stage. In this case, it was an outright theater and Husk didn’t want to know what Fletch and Rosie paid Valentino to get him to say yes to this performance. Angel had been working for weeks, burying his pain at losing Pentious in brutal rehearsal schedules. Rosie had only one caveat for the show: no nudity.
Angel had remained tight lipped about what his show was going to entail but Husk was looking forward to it. Even Niffty was sitting quietly between him and Cherri as they waited. Charlie, Vaggie and even Lord Lucifer had come with them, sitting to his other side next to Rosie. Fletcher had spent a solid ten minutes asking Husk to pinch him because Lucifer was actually a customer. He spent another ten minutes staring with eyes as wide as an owl’s at Lucifer and Charlie as if unable to believe they were real.
“Uh oh,” Vaggie murmured.
Husk followed her line of sight to see a small charcoal and brown spider in a black suit and fedora walking down to the front row just to the other side of Cherri who curled her lip. He was with a few others who should have had the word ‘goons’ tattooed on their heads. They were goons Husker used to know well, well at least the littlest spider goon. Arackniss was a minor overlord who controlled a lot of physical security around Pentagram City. He didn’t look like much – not like his father, Henroin who helped Carmine run her guns as a side gig to his drug empire – but Arackniss was stone cold and would happily shoot you in the face if you crossed him.
Arackniss arched his eyebrows. “Husker, I haven’t seen you in ages.”
“Lucky him,” Cherri grumbled.
“And Cherri Bomb, it’s never nice to see you but I’m not surprised you’re here to see Angel’s show.” Arackniss sneered.
Out of the corner of his eye, Husk clocked Vaggie fingering an angelic knife she had brought, hidden in a pocket. She sensed that Arackniss could be a threat. Charlie watched the exchange curiously.
“Nah, the surprise is you being here. You best not be here to cause trouble, Nissy, or I’ll drop a bomb down your trousers.” Cherri’s tone left no doubt about her sincerity.
Arackniss held up a hand. “Relax, I’m not. One, I’d never disrespect Rosie that way.”
Rosie leaned forward, flashing a huge, fang-filled smile. She also left no doubt that smile was a threat.
“And, I…I wanted to see Angel where I didn’t have to see him getting naked. Don’t worry, Cherri. I didn’t tell Henroin I was coming. I didn’t want every spider in hell to convene here because that would have been trouble.”
“You wanted to see Angel?” Cherri let out a bitter laugh. “Why?”
“Maybe he’s a fan, Cherri,” Charlie suggested. “I’m sure it’s fine he’s here. Hello, I’m Charlie.”
“Arackniss, and I’m definitely not a fan.” Arackniss wrinkled up his features. “What? Did he never tell ya?”
“Tell us what?” Husk asked, a sick feeling settling over him. The swoop of the hair, the accent decades in hell hadn’t erased, and if he thought back on all his former dealings with Arackniss, he could see a lot of shared traits and mannerisms. “Oh, damn.”
“Damn is right.” Arackniss snorted. “Bastardo! He never mentioned me once, did he? Guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Papá never encouraged us to nice to each other. Fuck, he made me be ugly as I could be to Anthony when we were growing up, ruined us both.” Something in that statement, in that tone drew the blues out of Husk.
“Who’s Anthony?” Charlie looked at him perplexed.
“His brother,” Husk guessed. “Angel.”
“Yeah, my baby brother and I don’t call him Angel because…” Arackniss looked away. “I can’t call him that, okay? I saw on the news him fighting the angels with you all. I waited every second for him to be taken away from me forever, to where I could never make amends if Tony was even remotely interested in that and when you won…I had to come. You don’t have to tell him I was here in the audience. It’s enough that I can see him being who he is now without having to see his usual live shows or watching his movies. No brother needs to see that.”
“No, of course not. I’m trying hard to help your brother but it’s complicated with Valentino,” Charlie said.
Husk wondered how hard she had actually tried. He had no doubts Charlie saw it that way but he’d seen how she had structured some of the redemption sessions where a lot of Angel’s sins were the bad guys, making him act them out. Husk didn’t think she meant to hurt Angel, probably had no idea she was doing it. Husk had seen Angel’s hurt and the way Charlie handled things, especially with Valentino said to him she meant well but was clueless. Hopefully with Lucifer in the picture more, she’d have guidance that wasn’t Alastor.
“Glad to hear that, Princess.” Arackniss’ gaze slipped over to Lucifer but neither man said a word.
“Are you sure you don’t want Angel to know you’re here?” Charlie persisted.
“Probably for the best he don’t. He won’t see any of us down here, not with the bright stage lights. Anthony don’t like me none, nor should he. I guess it ain’t a surprise he never mentioned he had a brother. Probably sang Molly’s virtues to the heavens though.”
“Who’s Molly?” Charlie asked.
Arackniss’ eyes went wide. “Really? He never mentioned his twin sister? Fuck, he’s more damaged than I knew. Now I feel even worse about myself. I shoulda been a better brother.”
“Yeah, you should have,” Cherri snapped. “You’re a dick.”
“I know.” Arackniss didn’t hang his head but he sounded sad.
Before Husk could even process the idea of a twin sister and the fact that Angel – who told him every detail of his day, even the painful, horrible, and degrading parts – had never mentioned once he had siblings, the house lights dimmed and the stage lights brightened.
Fletcher strode out onto the stage, a head mic wrapped awkwardly around his horns. “Hello, Pentagram’s finest patrons. We have an amazing show for you tonight, courtesy of Rosie and Lord Lucifer himself. I have a lineup of the best singers, dancers, and musicians for your viewing pleasure. But first, we’re opening with Marvella the Magician.”
He made room for a willowy woman with bat wings that Husker couldn’t swear was a sinner and not a succubus. She might actually be a succubus. She was excellent with close up card magic, nothing Husk couldn’t do himself but damn if he didn’t love a magic show. Up after her was a group of athletic female dancers and then a drag queen in all her flamboyant glory. Angel might steal all her shiny baubles when she wasn’t looking.
After her the lights dimmed except for one soft reddish one center stage. Fluffy clouds dropped from the ceiling to sway suspended high above the floor as the music swelled. A form wearing a shimmering metallic pale pink outfit that clung like a second skin and wrapped in a wide black tether unspooled from the clouds: Angel.
Husk watched breathlessly as Angel unfurled from his tether, still far too high from the ground for comfort even though Husk knew a fall wouldn’t hurt him. He’d seen Angel jump from higher. Angel spun on his tether. He soared on it. He contorted his body in intricate poses moving up and down on the strap chaining him to his clouds. He spun himself back up in the tether, rising toward the clouds, only to fall again, slowly, acrobatically, a feat he’d perform several times.
Angel was the perfect name for him even hanging upside down with only one leg twined with the tether, which was somehow so sensual Husk could barely stand it. God, the last thing he needed was to get hard enough to drill through steel in front of everyone. He had to look away for a moment. Next to him Arackniss leaned forward in obvious awe of his brother. He’d clearly had no idea what Angel was capable of.
“Strike me pink! He’s amazing,” Arackniss said softly.
Husk grinned. He hadn’t heard that old fashioned slang in forever. “Pink is perfect for your brother,” he whispered back.
Arackniss laughed, nodding.
When Angel disappeared into the cloud, climbing up the tether quite like a spider on a web, the audience burst out in applause, the loudest Husk had heard all night. A chamber band followed Angel’s performance and then some ballerina stuff that looked strange with the bodies so many sinners were trapped in. Finally, once again the stage lights dimmed and went to the faintest yellow.
This time Angel sashayed out to the edge of the stage having exchanged his pink outfit for one a match to Charlie’s favored red tux or Husk’s wings. Was that deliberate? Sequined flames rose up the still skintight outfight. In his hands was a hula hoop. With a brilliant smile, Angel started dancing with the hoop. Compared to his other act this was tame, almost childlike. Still, watching his body shimmy and twirl was not without its charms.
Dancing his way to center stage Angel stopped with another smile, this time nearly feral and dangerous. He made a spark and the hoop erupted with gouts of flame spaced evenly around the circle of metal. The collective gasp of the audience was followed by applause before Angel even did anything.
Unable to believe his eyes, Husk sat on the edge of his seat as Angel spun the flaming hoop around his midsection. He spun himself the hoop moved around his neck, down his body, out over his limbs without him ever missing a beat. The flames whirled around him, enticing, dangerous, arousing. Husk lost his battle with his own body parts. He just prayed this wasn’t the last act of the night.
It was but Angel received so many ovations, Husk had time to regain his control. It wasn’t until Angel quit the stage and walked out into the audience that Husk realized Arackniss hadn’t left as he had planned. Angel barely missed a beat upon seeing his brother. He basked in so much attention that Husk made a promise to himself that he’d show his own appreciation of Angel’s talent when they were alone later in the night.

“I can’t believe Giovanni showed up.” Angel plopped down at Husk’s bar. Everyone else had gone up to bed by this point.
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell us you had a brother,” Husk poured him one of those frou-frou drinks Angel liked when he was in a good mood.
“Apparently you know Arackniss. Would you admit to him?”
Husk snorted. “Maybe not. Think he’ll come around?”
“Here or about me?” Angel shrugged. “Who knows to both of those. I don’t wanna waste time talking about him anyhow. You weren’t stingy with the rum, were you?”
Husk slotted his eyes. “Have I ever been stingy with your drinks?”
“Sometimes, when I’m being particularly Angel Dusty and annoying you, you’ve had a light hand on the pour,” Angel accused without rancor.
He rolled his eyes. Angel was absolutely right but he wasn’t confirming it. “Your drink is perfectly rummy.”
Angel sipped it and smiled.
“Anthony,” Husk said, low and uncertain. He and Angel’s relationship had changed in the weeks since Pentious’ death and much of it still felt like a fever dream. Did he have any right to call Angel by a name he rarely used? The warmth blazing across Angel’s face, the softening of those mismatched eyes said yes he did. “I had no idea you could dance like that.”
“I’m always learning new styles. Got nothing but time and audiences to wow.” Angel shrugged like it was no big thing.
“Don’t undersell it. You were amazing, Tony. Absolutely breathtaking. I don’t know which was better the aerial routine or the fire dance. You could have danced yourself onto Main Stage Vegas tonight to a crowd of thousands.”
Angel’s cheeks pinked up under his pale fuzz and he ducked his head. “It wasn’t that spectacular.”
“Your brother was star struck. He wasn’t alone. Lucifer took it all in. Those two alone are pretty tough crowds, are they not?”
“Yeah, I guess. I mean Lucifer is warming up to us two at least and to the idea that Charlie was right all along and she was if the info Emily snuck to her is right.”
Husk’s breath caught. Pentious had redeemed but Heaven wasn’t admitting to it openly. He didn’t know what that meant but that was a problem for another day, for people better positioned to do something about it than he was. There was a chance for them all and now knowing that even he had started to seriously try to clean up his act.
“And Giovanni has always thought I was an okay brother but he can’t let it show because Papá ain’t having any of it. But he was also my harshest critic so I guess if he was impressed.”
“Which he told you no less than twelve times.”
“Yeah, so I did good dancing.”
“Better than good.”
“Arousing would you say?” Angel leaned on the bar, smirking around the lip of his cocktail glass.
Husk wouldn’t look at him because he’d fall for him forever if he did. “For several people I’m sure.”
“Well, hopefully not Giovanni or that’s a whole new set of ick for me.”
Husk snorted and then teased, “No, not him but you might have had a shot with Lucifer if you wanted it.”
“Tempting but that would probably permanently fuck up my chances at heaven. But I’m betting a certain kitty liked what he saw and might want to do a little dancing of his own.” Angel danced his eyebrows.
“Are you going to be smug about it?”
“Obviously.”
“I’m just here waiting for you to finish your cocktail and then we can-”
Angel didn’t let him finish. He pounded his drink and held his hand out over the bar top. Husk slipped his big paw into Angel’s slender hand. His hands might look delicate, like pink and white porcelain but they were strong. The way they had gripped the tether Angel had spun over the stage with or the poles he so often swung around with ease proved that much. Husk knew how hard they could hit when Angel had to fight.
“I’m ready to dance again,” Angel said, hurrying Husk along.
“Just no fire.”
“Oh, there’ll be fire in the sheets.” Angel beamed.
“Let’s try not to burn the hotel down. We just rebuilt it.” Husk laughed.
“No promises.”
Husk’s only expectation was for Angel to be chaotic and wild and he planned to enjoy every second of it. He whirled Husk into his room, lifting him off his feet because he was so ridiculously tall. Husk wrapped his legs around Angel’s waist, sliding into his embrace. He tickled his tailfeathers over Angel’s bared skin between his boots and his shorts.
After a kiss that robbed him of his senses, Husk nibbled at the crook of Angel’s neck, hard enough to elicit a gasp, soft enough to not leave a mark that Valentino might see later on. Angel bounced them both onto the bed. Fat Nuggets let out a startled oink and stalked by them with a dirty look as he jumped off the bed and went to his own. Poor little guy but at least he was well trained to get out of the way whenever Angel was getting frisky.
Angel rolled back out of bed and fetched treats out of his mini fridge for Nuggs. He sauntered back to Husk, making a show of it. When he walked into range, Husk grabbed him and roughly yanked down his shorts and undies. He nipped at Angel’s belly, swirling his tongue up and down the adorable pink line there.
“Someone is eager tonight.” Angel massaged behind Husk’s ears. “That fire dance got your motor running. Wonder what toys go with fire spinning.”
“Toys can be round two,” Husk grumbled. “Get down here, you lanky…”
Angel pressed a finger to Husk’s lips, cutting him off. Husk sucked that finger into his mouth, wrapping his tongue around it, teasing it with the light barbs he possessed. Angel trembled, making a soft noise deep in his throat. His cock rose up to greet Husk and he kissed that magnificent organ’s heart-marked tip. He never had to wonder why Valentino thought Angel would be good in porn, not with a cock like that. He rubbed his barbed tongue just under the head of Angel’s cock, in that sensitive spot that always made his legs weak. They were still learning each other’s bodies but Husk had learned this spot quickly.
He pulled Angel onto the bed with him, warring with his lover’s jacket and shirt. It was hard to rip clothes off someone with this many arms, though it wasn’t like his tail or wings made it easy either. Angel was undaunted, fingers working the button to Husk’s pants as his teeth tugged down the zipper with practiced ease. He swallowed Husk whole, his lips caressing Husk’s root.
“Damn, Angel, don’t make this too fast!” he begged.
Little fuchsia eyes glanced up at him as Angel smiled around Husk’s shaft. The brat whirled his tongue around Husk’s cock as he tried to get Husk’s pants free. Husk eased him away so he could get his tail free from the hole buttoned around it. Angel took that opportunity to swarm up over the bed to get the lube out of the bedstand.
Now nude, Husk caught Angel’s shoulders and rolled him onto his back. It hadn’t escaped his notice Angel had the bedspread rolled to the bottom of the mattress and his pink heart sheets exposed and waiting for them before they had even got into the room. He had left the hotel for his show with grand expectations apparently.
Husk smiled down at him. “You look beautiful against those hearts.”
“I look beautiful everywhere.” Angel smirked until Husk kissed it away.
He straddled Angel, resting his backside lightly on his slender chest. He swished his tail over Angel’s legs. “You are also arrogant.”
“See, this is what I get for letting you talk to my brother all night.” Angel laughed.
“Kid, I didn’t need Arackniss to point it out.”
“Not arrogance, just fact.” Angel pulled Husk down into another long, probing kiss that left them both breathless.
“Lube,” Husk whispered to him.
With a broad grin, Angel wiggled his hips and turned the bottle over. Shooting him a devilish look, Husk squirted some into his hand but he reached for Angel’s cock, not his own. Angel’s eyes shot open wide.
“Do you want to?” Husk asked. “Would you like to be inside me this time?”
“Yes,” Angel breathed out, barely audible.
“Good because I’ve been imagining this half the night.”
Husk lubed up Angel’s cock, almost second guessing himself. It had been a long while since he’d allowed anyone to breach him. He’s already breached the walls around your heart. Letting him inside you is easy compared to that. Of course, his heart might have wanted that but his brain took stock of the large shaft he was slicking up. Angel would be a challenge even if he wasn’t out of practice with this.
“Stay on top. You can control how much and how fast better that way,” Angel said, correctly reading Husk’s mind. “And your wings should flap so pretty.” His smile was pure sin. “Better than them being folded up under you.”
“You have a wing fetish, don’t you?”
“You and I are going to do some aerial shit one day, I promise you that,” Angel replied.
Husk snorted. He could see the 666 News headlines now when that went sideways. “You scare me sometimes but it’s not like we’re going to die twice.”
Husk scooted down on Angel’s torso, positioning himself to take Angel in once he was ready. He leaned back against Angel’s thighs since Angel had bent his knees so Husk could have a backdrop to relax against. Angel’s lowest arms unfurled so he could grab Husk’s hips to steady him. One of the best parts of making love with Angel was all the hands that kept busy in ways Husk hadn’t imagined, like the things he did once Husk decorated his fingers with some lube. In this moment Angel’s fingers were as delicate as they looked as he slowly, finger by finger, opened Husk up. His long pink fingers feathered over Husk’s P-spot, tickling and teasing until Husk writhed and panted. The expression on Angel’s face as he withdrew his hand, skimming it along Husk’s furry thigh, absolutely smoldered.
Husk let out a small gasp as he pushed himself down on Angel’s cock, that big head stretching him as it popped inside him. In spite of being prepped, a sharp burning pain raced through his belly, spreading out, fading fast. He rocked down, taking more of him inside. Angel’s middle set of hands teased Husk’s shaft as his upper set of fingers locked with Husk’s. Angel let him set a slow pace, getting used to having that large cock inside him. His fingers worked Husk equally slow.
Once the stretch settled down into pleasure, all of Angel in his depths now, Husk moved faster. Angel met his downward movements with honeyed hips. He groaned as Angel hit his prostate perfectly. This was everything he dreamed it would be. In his head, he was soaring and his wings slowly fanned, making Angel’s eyes light up. Angel didn’t hide how handsome he thought Husk was, all parts of him, even the ones Husk himself didn’t like. If it made Angel smile like this, it was worth the ache between his shoulders that the wings could cause on bad days.
Angel’s knuckle found the sensitive spot in Husk’s taint, rubbing and putting gentle pressure on it until Husk moaned. Fingers toyed with his balls, again as gentle as a summer breeze before Angel took Husk’s erection in two hands caressing it in opposite directions until he reached the top. His right fingers made like a waterfall, tumbling down to Husk’s root and the other hand followed only to start the process all over again.
“Not gonna last…you keep doing that,” he managed to rasp out as he picked up speed, impaling himself deep on Angel’s cock.
“Who says ya hasta last?” Angel beamed. “I can go all night.”
Husk had no doubts about that. Even though his hellish body was young and virile, his brain remembered his age. But dammit, he could go all night too, right? As Angel’s fingers spiraled up Husk’s shaft, Husk leaned into his touch but suddenly Angel pulled his hands away. Husk cracked open his eyes, not even realizing he had shut them, so lost in the sensation. Angel smirked at him.
Husk laughed. So, the bastard wanted to play edge games? Who was he to complain about that? He slowed his own pace down, letting his body cool just a bit. Angel knew exactly when to heat him back up again but it took two more times of almost being there before Angel took him to completion, striping Angel’s belly and chest. Angel’s fingers dug into Husk’s hips, as he pounded into him harder.
“You okay, babe?” Angel asked.
“Fine, more than fine,” he promised, taking all Angel had to offer, wanting more.
He dug his fingers into Angel’s thighs, balancing himself. Angel’s hips crashed into his, his long body juddering as he came with a sharp cry. Husk didn’t let Angel slip free of his body until he began to soften. He curled up with him on the mattress, lost in all those long, strong arms.
After some time, as the afterglow began to fade, Husk said, “You need to do more dances like tonight, Anthony.”
“Puts us both in a mood, don’t it?”
Husk laughed into Angel’s chest fluff. “That’s only one perk. You getting to be glorious on stage is another. You’ve never been more handsome than you were tonight.”
“I enjoyed every part of tonight but right now most of all,” Angel said. “I’ll definitely make those shows a normal part of my routine. I want more of this.”
“Me too,” Husk said sleepily. He almost suggested a shower but instead put forth the idea of a power nap and then Angel could dig out whatever toys he wanted for them.
Angel happily agreed and Husk burrowed his face into Angel’s sweat-dampened fluff. Husk didn’t care about that. He was exactly where he wanted to be and he’d allow nothing to take this away from him.
