Life that is. Every time I think I've hit bottom I find a new level of down. I got a nice threatening letter from my loan company about my medical school loans that I'm trying to get discharged because of my injury. It's like nearly 2,000$ a month to pay them for about 15 years. Well they're threatening to take my medical license and malpractice. Go ahead I no longer have either hence me being medically retired.

THen I think can they take the teaching license I don't have (because keepin me from working is an EXCELLENT scheme for making it easier for me to pay them). I lie awake all night thinking about that because soon if I pass my orals (looking less likely all the time. I'm too depressed to study. I can't remember anything as a result) then I'm out of school. That means THESE loans come due because the workmen's comp people said no, to retraining me even though they originally said yes and the lawyers said there is nothing I can do about it. A hand injury isn't worthy of retraining someone.

And I have no job. I didn't get the job in Utah. I was turned down flat for an interview in Wisconsin. It looks more and more like I'll have to teach high school. I don't want to. Maybe I can get a job there though. It would actually, ironically, pay more than community college but it's more aggravation. I don't see alternatives. I don't even see hope.

They have specialty high school programs now, at least up here. We have a health & medicine-type school that focuses on the core classes needed to get into the doctoral, nursing, medic, etc. programs at the universities.

Maybe that wouldn't be as painful? At least the students would be specifically interested in being there, and not just pissed at another required class they won't use...

Just a thought. Optimism...

:)

I didn't know that. Really? Do you have ANY idea how to look into that?

Half of the school district that just forced my aunt to retire back home needs replenishing, she's gonna talk to them too.

Seems our school board website has the information about the "acadamies." And they have two vacancies for vocational health instructors at Gainesville High School (i went there, not a bad place at all).
