You lying sons of bitchs. I want to know how you get away with saying in your TV ad's that your service doesn't go out in bad weather? In fact in Florida you went so far as to say cable was lying when they made reference to this massive shortcoming of yours.

So explain to me, if bad weather doesnt' interupt your highly expensive service, then why has my service been out for SIX hours? In fact despite the fact it only snowed about half an inch, my service went out the moment it snowed and when I called you your tech support told me and I quote 'There is nothing we can do. There's a massive storm over Ohio. When the sun comes out, you'll get your service back...if you can wipe the snow from your own dish" WTF? Thank the goddess my dish is ground level.

You suck. Next move, there had best be cable.

Cable has its shortcomings as well, but I wouldn't switch to dish. Na uh! No way!

oh yeah, occasionally my cable went out but dish really sucks. You also can't watch one show and tape another unless you pay to use their 'free' DVR

I live in Florida and in one location there wasn't any cable avialable so my family ended up with Dish Network... We lived in one of the 'mobile homes' and I swear whenever there was a storm any where near our location the dish went out... there didn't have to be rain, or lightning or any bad wheather that we could see (in fact I remember a few days where it looked rather nice outside but the dish was out because in another area it was raining or something similiar).

I am glad that we have cable at this location, because although it has gone out a few times, it is not nearly as bad as the dish was.

yeah in like 20 years of cable I can count on one hand how many times it's gone out. This Dish has problems every night.

And when I lived in FL I was SO glad we had cable access

We have dish cos it's the only one we can get up here. And yep, it goes out in bad weather. Bad weather as in just raining really hard, and you can imagine what it's like when we have our Wet Season..sigh

that's why I have it here. And that's why I was so thankful that in FL we had cable access. Hugs cable.

Ugh. You have to wait for the sun to come out to get service? What is this thing, solar powered? How frustrating!

she really was being somewhat flippant. Basically I had to wait for the thick cloud cover to disperse but still that IS weather dependent and to have ads saying you're not is misrepresentation

Time to start hunting them down and proving that they can do better.

Like, with bazookas.

would beating my useless dish to bits get a message across to them

Nah. They probably count about 10 cents to make. Go for something big, like their VANS.

Think. They're carrying all those tools and bits and parts and, yeah, going for their vans makes way more sense. Since you can't get to their satellite without a real geek's assistance.
