Days Off Drabbles

Here's a couple B/A drabbles for the challenge and for a birthday gift. Happy birthday bashipforever

 

Days off were a rare thing. Buffy knew exactly where she wanted to spend hers. First came the guilt-shopping with Mom who was going to be spending the weekend in L.A, not realizing that her daughter wasn’t upset by that. Buffy put on her new outfit and took the little book of poetry she had found at a used bookstore then headed for Angel’s.
 
It didn’t matter that it might be dangerous to be around him. A night of listening to his mellow voice reading her sweet words was a slice of heaven. Buffy wouldn’t miss it for the world.

 

 

Angel knew Buffy loved spending her rare days off with him. He knew she didn’t understand that he was content with hunting at her side. It slaked the desires for action in his demon self and it made his life seem more worthwhile.
 
Not that he would turn down those gentle nights they spent, whether it was him reading poetry to her or her sharing her favorite movies with him. It made him feel human and wanted. That was a dangerous thing but he savored those moments. He didn’t know if Buffy understood the gift she was giving him.
