L'Shana Tovah to those on my flist who celebrate Rosh Hashana

and for the pagans have a wonderful mabon! It's pouring down rain here and frigid as a result (I mean unseasonably so) so I doubt me and my candles shall make it outside tonight. I should go harvest the remaining tomatoes and wrap them in paper to ripen!

there you go. There was a totally vicious storm here so nothing got done...unless you count raising a glass of margarita in her honor.

Hey those black peppers are now gorgeous. Are they annuals? I need to drag them inside since they're a) getting bigger still b) still flowering. Are those fruits deadly or edible (even if they look deadly)

I'm pretty sure the peppers are annuals, but they're prolific about setting fruits, so you can hopefully start as many as you like from seed next year. The peppers are supposedly edible once they ripen (I assume that's when they turn red), with the caveat that the little blighters are fiery hot. I'll leave it to you to taste-test the "pearls."

yeah you know....i think not. I'll try to just harvest the seeds thank you because as Alton Brown says the smaller the pepper the hotter they are. Those things could probably be used in warfare.

i think they're annuals too (most peppers are) but hell they're back to flowering so in they come.
