This one is for [livejournal.com profile] leni_ba who wanted 5 ways Buffy could have been turned. I chose to do it straight from canon moments where it could have happened.

5 Way Buffy could have been turned.

1. Nightmares

A child’s fears, his living nightmares, how could this have happened? She hadn’t even really died. Giles fears filtered through Billy and now her face was all bumpy and she needed a dentist pronto. Life wasn’t supposed to end like this. Buffy barely even felt like a vampire and yet she was. When would she start carving blood?

Buffy had no desire to kill Giles, Willow or Xander but it was on the horizon; it had to be. Would she kill her mother? She didn’t want to think about it. Since she had been wished into this existence rather than properly killed and turned, Buffy wondered if another Slayer would be called. She’d have to get out of town because she had no plans of getting staked. Life was so unfair.

2. Prophecy Girl

How could it end so fast? It wasn’t fair. She came to Sunnydale to get away from the horrors of L.A. and now she was going to die here with her pretty white dress on, in the arms of a bat-faced monster with punch-mouth. His fangs hurt as they tore her flesh. Buffy felt her life pulling free out of those little holes in her neck then came the tumble into darkness.

It felt like no time at all had passed when she woke up to hell on earth, a hell she couldn’t help but enjoy. The Master let her dine on her mother and Xander and he kept waiting for her, on a leash, her very own pet, Angel. Being a vampire had a definite upside.

3. Lie to Me

This was just too inane a way to die, trapped with a bunch of Goth vampire wanna-be’s all thanks to Ford. She had made a mistake in thinking that Drusilla was harmless. The vampiress might have been weakened but underestimating her had been costly. Too startled when Drusilla snapped her arm, Buffy couldn’t stop her when Dru tossed her gleefully to Spike. Buffy whimpered when his fangs pierced her flesh. Drusilla did the honors for a grateful Ford. Days later, a vicious new foursome tore through Sunnydale. It was so much fun Buffy felt guilty for all the vampires she had slain.

4. Passion

Buffy kissed the faded tattoo on Angelus’ shoulder then licked along his spine. He had caught her so unawares, staring at Jenny’s grave that it was over before she knew it. He put her under the freshly turned earth with the dead teacher until Buffy woke back up. She made him leave Sunnydale to Spike and Dru. They didn’t need the hellmouth or to turn the world into a hell dimension.

She convinced him there was more fun with things just the way they were. Los Angeles didn’t know what hit it. Buffy luxuriated in their stolen bed inside their new multimillion dollar home, thank the devil for stupid maids who’ll let anyone in if they pose as police. Who knew Angelus was such a good actor, well she knew but still. Later they’d cruise in their new convertible sports car just because she couldn’t get enough of how sexy Angelus looked in it. Immortality and such a lickable man to spend it with? Why had she fought him so hard?

5. Crush

Waking up surrounded by flowers and two faces staring down at her was entirely disorientating. Buffy sat up, a hunger tearing through her.

“Isn’t she beautiful, Spike,” Drusilla purred, drawing his name out like a hymn.

“What have you done, Drusilla?” Spike moaned.

Buffy was wondering that herself. She remembered the pain of the cattle prod then waking up here. “I’m hungry,” she muttered, surprising herself with the reality of that.

“You don’t have to chose now, Spike. You can share us like Daddy used to share me and Grandmummy.” Drusilla spun in a little pirouette. “We can hunt for you. That little evil spider web of science inside your head doesn’t have to stop you!”

“Drusilla, I can’t believe you did this.” Spike sounded defeated but there was a look of something else in his eyes that Buffy noted; anticipation? Hunger? Excitement?

“Am I dead?” Buffy whispered, fingering her neck in wonder.

“Not any more.” Spike smirked, holding out his hand. “Come on, we better get out of town before the Scoobies start suspecting something. Can’t let anything happen to my girls, now can I?”

Buffy chuckled lowly as Drusilla clapped. His girl? Oh if he thought he was going to be in charge of this little group, Spike was sorely mistaken. Buffy had no doubts Drusilla would help keep Spike in line. This was going to be exciting.
