Faith - S3 Regrets
What had she done the night before? Hell, mixing drinks with too much dancing nad not enough food was her worst idea in a long time. Then again maybe waking up next to some dude she didn’t know and who was way uglier than she remembered might just be her due. Like mother, like daughter.

Faith had left him in the cheap hotel, staggering home before the sun had even rose. Who cared about the dangers that lurked around waiting to pick off a hungover Slayer. She got home, slugged down some morning after pills and crawled under the covers.

lifted from a few members of the Flist

Favorite story of 2006: Why They Call It Falling I had so much fun writing this and even though later manga have revealed all the ways I was wrong about Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye’s backstory, I just loved writing this. It was probably the one that brought me the most recognition in Fullmetal Alchemist fandom.

Best story I wrote, 2006: Immolation of Man’s Pride Easily this is the hardest to chose since I love most of my babies but this was another Mustang/Hawkeye speculative fic, much of which is now shot canon-wise but it was well received and I thought I tapped into some real emotion here. If anyone on the flist was to read outside their fandom and experiment with a new one, this would be the one I’d want them to try.

Most Underappreciated story I wrote in 2006: Funeral of Hearts (pt 1) Funeral of Hearts (pt 2) Hands down, this is it. I loved this story. I worked hard on it. Two people commented, that’s it and one was my beta. If ever I had my feelings hurt writing a fan story this was it. I thought this was so much better than what it got. Maybe that mixed het and slash was its downfall as far as the fandom was concerned since it didn’t get the exposure others did or maybe it was that it did contain rape themes. Whatever, this one was totally ignored and that’s a shame.

Most Fun Story: Overload Spike and Dru in the Gobbler, the 1970’s live! This was just too much fun and by all means google the Gobbler. You MUST see this place (not sure if I put in links or not at this point)

Sexiest Story: The Art of Tantalization , three people learning to love each other emotionally and sexually. I thought this one was sexy.

"Holy Crap, that's wrong, even for you:
Sympathy for the Devil Hands down, this is it. Two manufactured humans having rough sex and the shape shifter being forced to mimic their ‘father’. Yeah, it’s wrong

Story that shifted my perceptions of a character: If Happiness Forgets You

The first slash I’ve ever written. Usually I can’t skew my perceptions to see heterosexual in canon characters to see the slash, no matter how pretty. But the canon flirts with the edge of this ship as it is, so I managed it and I think I did a halfway decent job.

Hardest Story to do: it’s a tie Petals fall like Rain a WIP, mostly because I think I finally oversized my cast too much. There are just so many characters and the bad guys won’t be bad and I wrote THREE previous fancy dress dance stories in this universe last year and it’s like oh no…what was I smoking?

And
The Hour of Separation
This one is tough because of the emotion scenes I can’t talk about but are coming up all too soon. It’s also a WIP and knowing how it ends is hurting me

Biggest Disappointment: Stepchild of Disbelief, a Buffy/Angel crossover that was a disappointment in how little attention anyone paid it (I’m not even sure the person I wrote it for even acknowledged it) and I was disappointed in how I misremembered places in Point Pleasant.

Most Revealing Story: The Art of Tantalization

A threesome story, that was just fun to write but if there was anything revealing about me personally it would be this one. I’m a lot like Riza in this.

Story I want Remembered: Hyperion’s Son One day I’ll finish it, I swear. It’s novel length and I think it’s as good a novel as I’ve written. I think this one will be remembered by fans for a while.

You know, I think "Why They Call it Falling" was really the first story of yours that I ever read, and it still holds a special place in my heart. I went back and re-read it just a couple days ago, in fact. (Which was why I was sending you emails going, "You forgot to close the tag in this post," and such. *grin*)

Though I do like all of those.

Oh and, also? I'm writing two very wrong fics in the upcoming year.

(*cough* Al/Gracia and Al/Izumi.)

when did you decide to write these wrong fics

Tonight.

It's all Sharon's fault.

Really. Ask her.

she disappeared...so is she writing wrong fic too? Poke at her to do a color_i_fic and claim one of them...

I'm still trying to get her to finish her Maes for Shades of Grey.

But we were already talking about CIF tonight. And I don't know if she's doing wrongfic or not. I think she's abusing Ed, as usual.

But she's talking me into signing up at [livejournal.com profile] 10_cliche_fics, and of course I want Al, and Al wants the sex cliches, and I said, "Well, fine, but you're getting a different pairing for each one." And I came up with 8 easily enough (sadly) and then said, in utter sarcasm, "Hell, I could do Izumi/Al." And Sharon went, "Ooooo. That'd be so wrong. And hot."

And I thought, "Damn. It would be, wouldn't it?"

*facepalm*

The Al/Gracia is your fault.

MY FAULT? How'd I manage that. Yeah I saw that community and thought...no, i'm staying away

You flat out suggested it as a way to fuck with my Al/Elicia 'ship. And that's the closest I come to an OTP for Al, so you know I have to fuck with it. *grin*

And I'm headed to bed now.

Yeah, I won't be forgetting HS anytime soon. (In a good way. I re-read bits of it occasionally.)

Any plans to finish off your other Connor WIPs? I don't want to bug, I just want to know if I should get my hopes up or not. I know you're busy.

Oh and do you mind if I friend you?

don't mind at all if you do.

To be honest, I want to finish those Connor WIP's but time wise I'm not sure if/when it'll ever happen

Did I ever leave you fb on "Stepchild of Disbelief"? Because it's awfully cute. I really liked Dawn figuring it out because of an old X-files ep, that made me laugh. And the Dawn/Spike relationship was well handled.
