Here's some more belated christmas gift photos. Mom and Dad went panning for gems in NC. It's sort of a scam. it's all low grade seeded stones from all over the world and then they want to charge you to cut it (and that's where they make their money) My parents had fun with the panning and dad opted to take his gems and go home. After weeks of tumbling them into wearable quality, here's some of the stuff he made me for the holidays.

and i somehow forgot to upload the bone and malachite letter opener mom and dad got me but you can see it here along with a huge chunk of crystal they got me along with one of my bonzai's and Gaia living room

and a while back tinpanalley wanted to see our living spaces. I'm almost done redoing my bedroom Asian style (or more correctly Western view of what Eastern is) some bedroom decorations

One reason I'm moving to Arizona. So I can live like a normal person, with a bedroom and a parking space, and maybe even a place for my cats to yak that isn't my living room rug.

i can't blame you there. I've seen how ridiculously expensive it is where you are. I'm not even bothering to look in some places that I might like to live (upstate NY for example) because i refuse to go back to a shoebox

I fully support anything your muse is saying to you about writing Hiro. *grin* I think you'd do a great job writing him. (So many writers make him look like a child in a man's body just because he's so enthusiastic about his power. At least in the fics that I've read.)

That pillow is gorgeous - both sides. I like how you've decorated your bedroom too.

yes he has, mostly polishing. he doesn't have the tools or the training to do cutting
