Giles – Homesick

Giles leaned back against the chair, anticipating his first pub meal since returning home. Not that he hated American food by any means but there was something about the food from back home. Cultures defined themselves in part by the foods they ate. Sometimes he could find passable British-styled pubs in California. Willow had taught him how to order foodstuffs he couldn’t find easily like sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream. However, it was never the same as home. Drinking his favorite ale, Giles looked around the pub and suddenly thought it seemed too empty without Buffy and her friends.



Connor - Post series – trying too hard

He needed everything to be perfect which was probably asking too much of himself. Who was he trying to impress? Oh yeah right, Angel’s new woman or should he say old one? No, definitely not old or Buffy might have his head.

Connor wanted to show Angel he was trying to be the good son at least. When Angel suggested Connor meet Buffy the boy had invited them to his apartment then spent weeks watching foodnetwork to try and find that special meal to make them. Not that Angel would eat but the fact he tried, that would mean something right?

It's kind of funny to think of someone missing English food because it's got a bad reputation and all. ;-) But it's a cute image. And I like the turn around of him missing them.

And cute about Connor being so nervous about meeting Buffy.

Aw, poor Giles. That totally reminded me of the scene in Pangs when he wistfully said, "I like mushy peas".

They totally should have had Connor meet Buffy. Damn, there's so much they didn't do with that boy.

Awe, I used to love Giles so I got all giddy when I saw that drabble. You're Angel one's are so good it makes me wonder what I've missed since I never watched past the first season. I've always thought that all of the WB dramas tend to go down the old commode after the first or second season.

Angel was good IMO S1, 2 and 4. 3 sucked and 5 was boring and improbable
