sadly no pictures yet and I HAVE to get the plants into the ground I think i lost two of the love lies bleeding thanks to the ridiculous lifesucking heat. I couldn't find potting soil. Can you believe that? Stunning. All Wal-Evil had was that fancy Miracle Grow stuff at 9$ a bag. I went to Big Lots and got the same poundage for a buck. I'll add my own miracle grow thanks.

I headed for the Amish greenhouse since they have this amazing array of plants I can't find in town. Hopefully no one will burn up. Here's how I hope to plant them -

in a bowl on the porch - Sorbet Black Delight violas (so purple they're black) and in the center Tukana Scarlet verbenas (yes I'm flashy)

in the hanging bowl - blue moon lobelia, Laguna lobelia and another one that I lost the tag for already (a purple moon turbeno...which i know is spelled wrong)

undecided planting - Diamond Frost Euphorbia (white) Million Bells crackling fire (calibrachoa, orange with yellow streaks)

and for the house - a Kordana minature rose (orange and white)

ETA - my landlord offered to rototil my garden for me

We'll see what she wants me to plant. We've got some tomatoes down...and peppers...I want another Yellow Boy tomato (soo good) but probably won't be planting in my yard - too much stuff going on already.

Oh, one of my irises didn't get mown down and is this amazing...purple/burgandy.

I planted all sorts of things - I think I also wound up with a yellow pear as my Yellow boys weren't available. I got the last yellow tomato on the stand!

There were still veggies, mind you, just not the ones I wanted. I nearly bought the pink tomato but I couldn't bull my way through the crowd to get to it.
