got 'em in the ground
May. 17th, 2007 10:18 pmFelt a little better today so i did manage to get the tomatoes in the ground and not a moment too soon. Some of them were rootbound and i needed to bust that up but worse was some aphid or something got on them and damn...I think i'll lose the Potato-leaf hillbilly tomato. It's in seriously bad shape. The rest got sprayed (so much for organic gardening. There was a real reason we got away from that in the first place) Might stop at WallyWorld and see if i can get another tomato just in case the potato-leaf goes the way of all flesh.
Hopefully tomorrow i'll have the strength built back up to go to columbus. I want to stop at the conservatory and visit the butterflies.
ETA - I forgot to thank Roy for his help. He inspected every hole just to be sure they were good holes. Then later when I was repotting the basil, he thought my leg would be a good stretching pole. However, he decided to leap into my lap at the very moment I got up. He got bounced into the transplanting table and he and the plants landed on the porch in a heap. He's STILL looking at me like this is all my fault that he embarrassed himself.
