Breakfast Angst

or should i say angsting through breakfast? Okay so last year I wanted new shorts, not the casual lay around the house kind but something with a little style and could find nothing in COlumbus or the Pittsburgh area. It's like huh? I could find all the jersey stretch stuff I wanted but nothing i could wear out. Oh or Daisy Dukes in my size...um seriously no. I have better sense than to think anyone wants to see my dimpled ass hanging out. I'm about 10 year and 100 pounds past wearing Daisy Dukes.

Well now that I'm going on vacation I STILL want those shorts. Because seriously all I have left are some overly worn stylish ones and jersey things that look like I should be gardening. I mean occasionally I WILL want to go somewhere looking like I didn't just roll out of the trailer park.

And i just HATE shopping on line for clothes

At least bermuda shorts are "in" this summer-- at least you should be able to find some longer styles in something other than jersey

I usually find my shorts at Walmart, their White Stag brand seems to cater to the more mature and fleshy folks. But the downfall is the color selection. They are mostly khaki or black. There is an occasional navy, white, or olive in the mix. Oh and I have found a couple pairs of Faded Glory jean shorts there that look fine.

they don't have anything at ours, mostly clothes too ugly or fabrics too awful to contemplate and no shorts but the jerseys and the daisy dukes

yeah I mean I've bought white stag stuff before. Most of my jersey shorts ARE that and I like Faded Glory jeans but they don't even carry THOSE. It's like WTF?

Do check out Wallyworld. The outfit I'm wearing today (see video I just posted in my journal) I got at Wal-Mart. The shirt came with some leggings (and is incredibly long), and the shorts are super comfortable with elastic waist, no pleats (HATE pleats) or pockets and each ran me about $7-15. Can't beat it. I never have trouble finding my size at Wallyworld either; I'm about an 18 or 2X (3x if I want it long and baggy).

If you do dabble on line check out Amazon. They have some good plus clothes from multiple vendors (I get Eddie Bauer from through them all the time)

Wally World is the only place i have to shop here and there's nothing there, at least nothing I'd wear. It all looks like trailer trash OR overly fancy (not the shorts but the only clothing)

I don't buy on line at all when it comes to clothing. I'm too long waisted and it's a difficult job wearing pants. If it weren't for hose I'd wear skirts more often

LOL that's alright. I'll probably be making more FMA icons since I've finally relented to myself and decided to screencap the movie. And I'm slowly working on the Goku layout. Still tweaking on what type of background would look good with the header. (decisions, decisions) I just know people will squee when I finally get to the Konzen/Goku layout...

ah. There was pretty art but I didnt' like the movie. And yes I'm sure there will be much squeeing when you get to Konzen and Goku...I'm still puzzling out my affection for him, Goku that is. He's not the usual character I graviate to but he's become the easiest to write

True, Goku has puzzled me too as to why I like him. Though when I got sorted and found out it was a tie between Hakkai and Goku, I broke out laughing and told my mom I was a Haiku. I find him easy to write too besides Gojyo. Hakkai gives me the hardest time simply because I'm not used to the 'proper' way he talks.

Hakkai and Gojyo are far more normal for me to like. I can handle writing them all but Sanzo (which you know yay mean let's chose the foursome for the sexual cliches...i'm so masochistic some times) I'm not even sure what it is about Sanzo that gives me fits writing him..

much like Edward in FMA. He's a brat. I like brats but he's another one who makes me nuts

For some reason, I just imagine Sanzo on permenant PMS and write. With Hakkai, I've found myself looking up how he talks in the manga and go: 'Okay, maybe that is something he'll say.' or 'Sounds too much like Gojyo.'

Well at least Edward grows up a bit near the end. Naruto is the one I don't like yet I love the series. Though I think Kakashi, Jirayi, Orochimaru and Kabuto ease the pain ^_^

And yes Ed does mature. Never could quite get into Naruto for that very reasons. I didn't mind Kakashi but I didn't like Naruto or the girl much

Yeah, I believe it gets better in Shipuden but you can't really watch Shipuden without knowing what happened when he was a kid.

I'm tall and long waisted so i often have to get a) higher end, better made clothes since cheap stuff never fits right

b) shop where they sell talls (I can get them from Roamans online but i'm SO picky about materials I really need to touch them to know)
