Okay it wasn't that bad. I went for my EMG today. It's a two part test to see nerve conduction both motor and sensory. First they zap you with electricity and watch your limbs flop like a landed catfish. Then they take needles, long ones, to give you an idea, most the needles we use in the doctor's office are meant for subq or intravenous, these ones go deeper than that, implanting them in the muscles and then make you use said muscles. I had to have from ankle to knee to hip and then into the small of my back.
I look like a voodoo doll with bleeding pinpricks but the news is actually good. She was thrilled with how good the nerve conduction was especially with me being diabetic. I'm in good shape. She said the same thing the massage therapist did, 'i haven't seen anyone with muscles so tight.'
I think that's my problem with yoga right now. I'm SO tight that it hurts too badly to even stretch them out. So that also means when i go for PT with my brother (Doc read my mind, hey that's cool...oh wait, brother? He'll torture you.) that the pt should really help since it's the MUSCLES tightening around the nerves that's causing hte pain. That's treatable.Yay!
and I got my new cell phone today. yay let me contribute to the cancer that is cell phone emissions. Well at least I know it'll just sit in my purse unused 99% of the time.
And WEIRD. I came home to find the door opened slightly. Now when i see on horror/crime dramas I'm also like What moron would go into a place that the door was supposedly locked in? Answer me but mostly because I know those locks don't line up right but I've never had it swing open like this before. The only intruder inside was Roy the cat going 'AIR CONDITIONING!'
