So mom took me out shopping today with Gram's credit card (gram wanted to get me a birthday gift. Whoa. This Macy's had all the tailored shorts I wanted and only a few dollars more than the crap Wally WOrld had (you can't beat Macy's when they have a sale). I got about a half dozen shorts and Mom insisted on matching shirts (way to fund a shopping spree gram)

Mom splurged to get me a pedicure but i needed one. I usually do it myself (what with being a foot doctor and all) but i've run out of time lately. My heels were things that could make you cry.

And I got manga and made Mom get me some (I had coupons off the Net one per customer. Fine. Mom, buy this)

Decent day and nice and cool. Thank God. THis heat has been killer. The yard look like August, not the beginning of June.

Presents are so much fun. And I hate wally world. There are 3 superwalmarts. THREE within ten miles of each other. And all are a 5+ mile drive to get to. I will happily say that the side of town I live on is finally get a pet hospital about 5 blocks from where I live. Put in an application. They'll be playing with house and farm animals. That makes me a fuzzy happy.

It just sucks because I know one of the places that might disappear will be the only comic book shop in town. Walmart kills communities. I just never understood one top shopping anyway. Though I'm the type of person that has a calm streak and mills around in a mall or store in the first place.

that's ZOlf Kimbley from Fullmetal Alchemist (though he's a much different character in the anime than he is in the manga but they're both evil fun. His alchemy is to explode things)

I really need to get around to reading that. Or at least watching the eps I have stowed away somewhere.

the manga is a large investment (13 volumes and counting) you can read it on line however. The anime is...okay for the first year, year and a half @30 episodes (and it differs greatly from the manga even then) after that it's just on crack and ended...let's just say it makes me wince

I actually picked up the second volume of the manga at Borders a while ago but I haven't gotten around to reading it. I was annoyed because they didn't have the first one.

I guess they are expensive, but it's not like I'll be getting all volumes at once. I have too many unread books lying around as it is.

i have the whole set. It's worth it. I just like people to know it might be a tad bit of money to get the whole series
