sorry, i don't have a microscope attachment for the camera so that's as good as it gets...adn even with the scope you can't see anything, it turned to mush from formalin

Does your camera have a macro setting? You could probably get a better shot of it using that.

Ooooh...I got Saiyuki 8 today and already read it. Of course, coming from vol. 3...didn't make too much sense but I still enjoyed it. Stupid amazon, delivering my crack all out of order. Feh.

yeah, i know i'm missing a lot of arc stuff. i read spoilers on wikipedia so i do know some of it, but it's not as good as actually reading it of course. actually the part that confused me the most was the bit with sanzo at the end.

I was looking at them today (and some of the regular Saiyuki that I haven't gotten yet) at the bookstore and wow, I can see why you like little Goku now. What a little cutie. And man, Sanzo is such a meanie, but you can tell he loves him underneath, but begrudingly.

I think losing his master really fucked him emotionally but good. I mean, obviously something like that would to anyone but him especially; it's like it made him determined to never get emotionally attached to anyone ever again.

Yeah Sanzo really is messed up. Soon after losing his master other bad things happen to him too and hell he took on goku when he was just 20 so he doesn't have the dad stuff down

I read #9 today in the bookstore and I was impressed...Goku was pretty cool with that mahjongg game. He actually managed to snap them all out of their funk. Good going, monkey.

Well, CS people and tech support folks have this special mojo that makes all electronics work around them. It's why whenever you call tech support the problem doesn't show up again until after they leave and you've been made to look stupid.

Love the tomatoes, an old neighbor of ours used to have a garden and would pay my bro and I to take care of it and that. First time I found out that yellow squash actually has little spines on it...He always had a ton of cherry tomatoes so he was always giving them away.

And I was hoping for some sci-fi parasites....face-huggers or something. And don't worry, my close-ups suck to, one of the reasons why I've never really posted pics in my journal.

Yeah, I think that's one of the reasons I don't decorate the house anymore.

I didn't know they had spines till he told us we could pick them, then I got the suprise. He enjoyed leaving out info like that sometimes as a joke. Go to mow the lawn for him and find that the lawn mower needed gas. Stuff like that.

Eh, we're all used to the fancy effects in movies today and all that. I still find it cool though. All I remember from disecting my frog was the fact that I was paired with a guy that was squeamish. My giggle fits didn't help that much either....

The carriage makes me laugh, though I drive by a family who adore those inflatables and have one out for every season (inflat-a-leperchaun? check. Inflat-o-eggs? check check.). They're kind of ghastly when overused.

Also, the parasites look cool, even if they're a bit blurry. I like gross things. ^_^

Mine came out pretty good, too until the verticulum wilt caught up with them - I'm still getting 'maters, but the plants look like hell. Need to move the patch across the yard next year to clean soil.

mine are totally infested with the freaking white aphid things (they fly so they're not true aphids which I don't think fly) any suggestions for killing them that won't render the maters inedible? The plants are getting really macky looking
