It's been a week of spiders (understandable since it's getting cold and they're moving inside). Friday it started off with one in my bathroom sink. Bet he didn't know I could spit Crest with accuracy. Then that day at work at least three different people (including the science secretary and one prof) wanted to give me/make me catch monstrously large wolf spiders. Thanks. No.

THis morning I got up too early then went back to bed and had one of those dreams where you're kinda half awake but you're paralyzed. I dreamt a HUGE spider kept yo yoing down over my bed, furry with black and silver hairs and I wanted to run but couldn't move out of the bed at all. And even if i could there were zombie white mice running around on the floor. Finally the spider landed on the bed and I crushed it with my bed spread.

I wake up but fall back asleep long enough to dream about two women in long black skirts and heels being made to stand on a floral circular cast iron grate that was red hot and burning thru their shoes. WTF?

I want to sue my brain for divorce.

I started with a WIP, too, and I'm doing a lot of revising as I go along. Sounds like you're doing pretty good. I admire all the people who are doing both Sven and Nano. I know what you mean about characters who pop up in your head and demand attention. Just tell them that they have to behave themselves until Nov. 1.

BTW, I once had a huge wolf spider drop on my head. For real! It thudded when it hit my head and I swiped it off, thinking, "what the heck is that?" Then I looked down on the floor, jumped on the bed, and screamed my heart out. It crawled into the bathroom and never showed up again, but, oh man, it took me a long time to go back into that bathroom.

oh i know what you mean about the spiders! I'm a biologist and I was out in the field in Florida and a horking big bananna spider repelled out of the trees at me.

Yuck to the spiders! Last night, I dreamt that I was hanging out with my punk rock ex-boyfriend and cutting pretty patterns into my skin with a knife. Seriously creepy and completely uncharacteristic. The guy brought out a different side of me when were dating, but definitely nothing that hardcore!

I went to wash my hands after a bathroom visit yesterday, and a huge spider just swung down in front of my face over the sink. A handful of water, and the not-so itsy, bitsy spider got washed away. *g*
