tinpanalley who wanted Spike/Dawn, Christmas tree lights (sorry, it didn't want to be longer than this.)

“It could use more icicles.” Dawn showered the tree with another handful.
“Pet, icicles went out of style about a decade ago and any more decorations of any kind would make the tree collapse under its own weight,” Spike said wryly, sitting back on the couch and watching Dawn work.
Dawn shot him a glare. “Aren’t you supposed to be working on the eggnog?”
Holding up his hands, Spike headed for the kitchen to make his special eggnog, namely opening the store-bought container and pouring in a little brandy. He brought it out to her, along with a beer for himself. Spike wasn’t about to drink something sissy like egg nog. “Done yet, Li’l Bit?”
“Just need to plug in the lights.” Dawn did the honors then stepped back with Spike, taking the eggnog from him. Nodding her head appreciatively at her own handiwork, Dawn leaned against her lover. “Beautiful.”
“Not as beautiful as you,” Spike said, an almost shy, romantic look edging into his features. He tugged a battered piece of mistletoe out of his pocket and held it over their heads. Spike smiled and Dawn bestowed the first of many kisses.
