Angel – S3 Watching

Angel watches his son, half wondering if Connor knows he’s there. Angel prides himself on his predator instincts but he knows Connor is every bit the predator he is. It hurts to admit it. This was the little boy who should have been playing short stop, the one who was going to go to Notre Dame. Now, homeless, Connor stalks his own prey, not the least bit squeamish about catching and eating alley rats raw.

Angel has to look away before he brought Connor home, lessons unlearned. Still, he couldn’t banish thoughts of his own rat-eating days from his mind.




Ensemble – Old School - Irrational Fears

“I can not believe it,” Xander announced strolling into the library, ignoring Giles’ sudden warning look. “You missed it last night ladies. G-Man is afraid of rats!”

Giles glared. “I am not afraid. I mere cannot abide them.”

“You screamed in the cemetery,” Xander reminded him.

Buffy swallowed a giggle while Willow asked, “Giles?”

“It was a manly bellow of disgust,” Giles protested.

“It was a girlie scream of pure terror.” Xander smirked.

“Moving on, we’ve established where the demon isn’t. I believe it may have come in with the circus. Xander, you take the clown tent.” Giles smirked back.
