cornerofmadnessI go to see the new vet (after getting lost. Crud their turn off was 100 feet from the cat shelter wish they had said that) Poor Roy had to endure a 20 mile trip with me getting lost but he's a good traveler for the most part
This vet was also on a horse farm (pretty dapple grey in sight. Yes I know they'll lose the dappling but i like it when it's there) but her place was big. The waiting room wasn't the size of a bathroom and the treatment rooms a closet. It was clean and the staff was friendly. This vet is young, probably younger than me and friendly and...confused.
Like me, she has NO idea why the other vet didn't put Roy on more than one kind of antibiotics (well we both KNOW why but we're too polite to say it). She also informed me that one of the shots Roy was given was for DOGS only. (so more confusion and her tech said she's seen other transfer patients from this place with that happening) I didn't know that shot was dog only or she would have got it with both barrels when i picked him up.
She shared my concern with how soon Roy was neutered and his poor health. She kept him then called me about ten minutes ago to tell me Roy is really bad off. He has pneumonia and congestive heart failure but he's not going to die, at least not if she has anything to say about it. She's giving him lasix and more appropriate antibiotics. She says I can come get him tomorrow.
If I had been less medically saavy, trusted the other vet more, Roy would have died.

But better let you murder the old vet. Torture and maim the old vet. I have supplies...
As said above, pray for cat, keep new vet THEN kill old vet.

Also, report that old vet to the BBB or something. Because technically, vet places are considered a business. Also ask the new vet if there's anything you need to do at home to help Roy out.
