First off - You don't need one of those dream books I don't actually buy into to interpret this dream. I was judging a 'research project' science fair but somehow I was also in the contest (yeah that's fair) and none of the projects made any sense and all the other judges were angry and so was I because what my team presented wasn't what I had in mind.

The dream then morphed into me and [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog driving through a town I had never seen but obviously lived there. She dropped me off at the a clothing store and drove off to do another chore before picking me up. Well all the stores were closed because of a water break except for the pastry store/catering service who practically forced me inside. I was like okay I need a pack of birthday invitations and maybe some pastries for the party (which must have been why I needed a dress at the clothing store). The older woman started talking to me and I was looking at invitations while she got me samples of their wares, a mushroom appteizer the size of a turnover. She wanted me to have a glass of water and I kept saying no, it's no good. There's a water break. She had just talked me into some invites that had a complimentary sweater tossed in for 20$. That's when her partner(possibly daughter) came in and snatched the invoice up and started screaming that it was too cheap and she didn't want to have to move her business and I was thinking you're such a bitch I'm not buying anything now. Then the older lady gave me a mint sample but it wasn't done and she was trying to tell me how to finish cooking hte mints and her partner kept telling me how wrong she was and I was thinking, but they're already mint-shaped how can i cook them. I just ran back out in the rain to wait for ELD

and what I'm watching on TV My flist is cut into two. There is no middle of the way either you love it or hate it. I'm with the hate it crowd more that love it. I WANTED to love this. I'm a big Terminator fan. But this, I find everyone utterly abrasive. They break their own rules all the time (one minute Summer's character can fit into a high school since she had been waiting for John for some time next minute she can't for example), the idea of Summer Glau as 15/16 is laughable. Sorry, she's ten years too old and looks it. I see no reason not to have hired a young actress.

That said I don't mind Summer in this. Unlike my flist I'm not a fan. I don't think she acts very well but wooden works here. The actress playing the mom...i just don't like her much and I can't put my finger on why. John's alright, not tremendously bright about things he should be but he's supposed to be a teen and they are known for impulsive stupidity so I can forgive that. I liked this past week's a little better but I'm just not clicking with anyone. I'll be glad to have the shows returning so I won't feel too obligated to watch this. Also, I know it's an expensive FX but did they say why none of these terminators have liquid metal?

Aw, poor Roy. Is he getting better?

I like T:TSS, but I agree that the actress playing Sarah is no Linda Hamilton and that Summer Glau shouldn't be playing a HS student, but, she's not the first overage actor to play a teen so I let it go. I don't think they've ever mentioned the liquid metal.

he is but now he's being bad.

no by no means is she the first to play a teen. It just seems odd we get someone closer to the teen years to play John and someone nearly 30 to play his counterpart. Oh well. I'm just going to sit back and watch. Maybe the disappointment will ebb

Oh, Poor Roy. Although he does look a bit perkier. That is some serious flooding you've got.

I think Summer Glau is by far the best thing about Terminator. And I can guess why they hired her. Because of her dance background, her movement choices are fascinating and add a lot to the character. Even the way she stands and then subtly shifts based on what she sees others do.

But Sarah Connor is way too wimpy. No way do I buy her as capable of being bad ass enough to save her son's life.

He was being very bad today. He's finally well enough to be curious about what's in my apt.

Well I actually have no problems with Summer for the reason you said. She moves wonderfully. I just think they could have maybe made her into something other than John's teenaged companion

Maybe that's it. Sarah is built well but she just comes across wrong. And it's getting silly watching willowy women taking down brutes, Summer aside naturally since she's not human. Yes a well trained woman can fight. This woman would have smashed an elbow three weeks ago the way she uses it. It keeps jerking me out of the show

Oh, I can so tell Roy is sick in those photos...and ask him where I'm supposed to sit when I come to visit?

Actually, scabs aside, that cat looks downright smug: "It took getting the daylights beat out of me, and my nads cut off, but she finally got the hint and took me in!"!"

He's like the House of catdom and you're his Wilson.

As long as I'm not jerky Wilson of last season...then again he probably THINKS I'm jerky Wilson with the way I keep making him take pills. You should have seen him sulk tonight

Cats in general, stubborn critters

not jerky Wilson

No. More oldschool Wilson. Feeling kind of hopeless, trying to help, getting feelings hurt and still having great affection for the cranky old mook.

Yeah, he must think you are the Person of Pills.

I am Medicine Woman for all cats Stang. I do my boys and I do my parents' kittehs as well. I had to put eyedrops in Little Miss Sunshine's eyes this afternoon and she now wants me dead. I clipped all five cats' claws and cleaned their ears. Oh the indignities they suffer at my hands.

Roy's going to have to bring you a lot of happiness to make up for the initial investment. I think he'll be up for the job. At least he likes his chair!

You done a good thing.

He sulked like a sulking thing tonight after i gave him his pills. I need to check the scratch he gave me yesterday. it's not looking happy (being diabetic I have to keep on that)

my last cat was the same way. i brought him home to many infections and nasopharangeal tumors. He cost me a mint too.
