Another very long day

After a night of not sleeping so hot. I had my interview today here at my college. I mean, hardly any pressure right? They know me. They want me. They just had to go through the formality for some reason.

Had the retirement party for two retiring math teachers (married couple) then i went to the spiritual relaxation station and got my hair cut. it might actually look good.

got home and caved to the non-stop 4 year old chatter mom was keeping up of come home and sleep here before the interview but only because I start at 10 AM (must double check that), and because of my own finals here I won't get to leave until about 4 pm which would put me there around 8 pm...in the dark in a place i've never traveled on roads that everyone who has ever traveled them (including an alumnus, i work with her husband) claims are literally deadly. Hmmm it's only 25 miles from home and a late start that might be better than checking in with security and staying in the campus union where they're putting me...

got all my clothing from the pyramid collection. If you want me I'm under the futon sucking my thumb. The asian ideogram pantsuit for the black tie that everyone was cooing over actually FITS (thank god I didn't get the bigger size) with one exception. They make pants for people who are NOT tall. I'm tall. Pants always end up not coming to my ankles. jibbers. the next size up would sag there but not fit anywhere else but the rest fits so well I'm kinda hoping no one will notice my ankles.

The beautiful powder blue shirt with lots of Victorian ruffles and coins dangle from it also fits very well BUT it's see-thru. Completely. I'm a little heavy to want people to see through to my belly button not to mention my bra. While I HAVE a bra that color i just think it looks cheesy to have a shirt that fancy that you can see through and putting something under it? Well, the neckline is so deep it buttons mid-boob. That would also look cheesy. Whimpers

The jade green shirt's camisole is the kind of polyester I WANTED the Renn shirt to be, the kind that looks like silk and almost feels like it. It's actually almost too big and the green really goes with my eyes. I have a winner I have a winner. I put on the airy gossamer over tunic...and it has to be sewn wrong. the left side fit but the right side can't contain my boob. WTF? Even off my body you can tell it's not sewn right. ..or should i say sewn stupid. It's sewen for an empire waist but it needed to be about a quarter inch bigger. It's the kind of material I'm pretty sure I CANT pull the stitching out and redo. Head bangs

I needed to get my lecture done. I mean MUST for thursday. i tried. I came home and crashed on the couch staring at the tv for hours. Must work hard now.

Oh and thank you NCIS for sucking two weeks in a row. Gah. And thank you TV Guide for spoiling NCIS's big sweeps thing

as for clothing...i have NO idea. I mean what is the point of having a super loose camisole then having an over tunic that is so tight you can't get your boobs into it

or something utterly see-thru. I guess some peopel find that sexy and it it was the plain kind of see thru and what you wore under it mattered i'd be okay with it but this isn't that kind of shirt.

and some women have legs. that's my biggest battle. you can be tall or fat but not both. Waaaah.

And I'm glad the pantsuit fits, albeit a bit short. Sadly, mail order clothes are always a bit risky.

It sounds like you and me have the same clothing woes. I swear men must make female clothing. Especially bras & bathing suites. They're the worst to shop for.

Could you stitch some lace or something to the bottom of the pants to make them longer? That would look cute and not be overly "The pants are too short" type of thing. As for the other fashion issues, I'm at a loss, too. :S Sorry.

meh. sympathy about the clothes thing. i found today that yet another pair of jeans i recently bought are tight on me. i think i'm just going to give up on wearing jeans, since they always get tight on me way faster than any of my other pants do.

same here. I especially hate them now that the plus sizes are 'cut low in front for your comfort' great my big belly hangs out AND makes my pants roll down. smart one
