Surprise. One of my students can’t make the first day of class because of her new job. I have to teach her one on one TOMORROW. Thanks for nothing. Luckily it’s mostly just reading the syllabus to her and doing some vocab (I need to look at that myself and figure out what words I need to know).

I now have a very good idea what I’m teaching. This is the same class I had as a sophomore in high school. Sad. What it boils down to is this, the original class was TWO semesters long (which is what it should be) but was deemed too hard for the allied health students (x-ray techs, surgical techs, etc). So we now have this general (and I do mean general) class that I’m teaching for them (state mandated and thank you state of WI for making it only ONE semester) for them and as a prep for advanced A/P for the nursing students. It’s going to be HARD to forget what I know to make this class easy enough.

Funny thing, one of the work study ladies was talking to me. She had her kids at the lab today and we got to talking about them. The boys were named Lorne and Connor and my boss’s kid’s name is Gordo. Yeah, I’m trying not to snicker.
